Hello, everyone! I hope to meet some wonderful people!

What is your first name: Brienne

Age: 36

Location: Florida, USA

Hobbies & Interests: Too many to name. Dinosaurs and paleontology, birds and birdwatching, collecting quarters, playing video games, doing logic puzzles and riddles, trivia games, interior design, writing fiction and movie reviews, lucid dreaming, working out, my Christian faith

Why are you here: To talk to people and hear others' experiences, to engage in discussions on my favorite topics, and to share with others in a way that might offer some solace.

When were you diagnosed: ASD diagnosis February this year, 2025.

Favorite Subjects: I graduated from University in 2010 with a Bachelor's in English Lit with a Minor in Communications. So, English and Media are my favorites. I also took electives in History, Business, and Religion.

Year/Grade: See Above.

Favorite Music: 70s glam and punk rock as well as disco, 80s cheesey pop ballads and new wave as well as hair metal, 90s alternate rock/metal and pop princesses, 00s dance and pop as well as emo and more metal, any "one hit wonder" ever released

Favorite Books: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Jane Eyre, Little House in the Big Woods, Pilgrim's Progress, Beowulf, The Odyssey, The Metamorphasis, anything written by Philip K. Dick or Stephen King, anything written by Chuck Palanhiuk or Hunter S. Thompson, the Amelia Bedelia series, the Boxcar Children series, the Narnia series

TV Shows/Movies: Too many to name, but my favorite TV show is Lost and my favorite movie is The Matrix.

Instruments: Used to play drums when I was younger, looking to get back into it. I can play by ear.

Do you like sports: Only if, as pro wrestler Big E. put it, there are "big sweaty men slapping meat." So basically just gridiron football, MMA, and pro wrestling!

Family: I live with my parents, two of my younger brothers, a dog, and two cats.

Clothing: This is a tough one. I'm mid-gender transition and in the middle of a weight loss journey. So all my old clothes don't fit me anymore and I haven't gotten to get a new wardrobe yet. All my old "guy" clothes are mostly jeans and graphic tees.

How did you find this website: On an online list of autism resources.

Job: I'm unemployed right now, but currently working on getting a data-related job as work-from-home. My jobs in the past have all been retail-focused on selling particular products I like- usually electronics or food. But those jobs are too stressful and I never kept one for more than a couple years. Such is the case when you have undiagnosed autism and think you must just suck at everything.

Plans for the future: Find a partner to love and cherish, and either going back to school to get a Master's in Linguistics to enter the education field, or re-learning the drums to enter the music field.

Any comments: I miss forums like these. Not a lot of old-school style forums anymore.

Welcome to Wrong Planet! :)

Age: a clue -- barely a few months younger then the og Sonic game

Location: Urban southern Ontario, Canada

Hobbies and Interests: Karaoke (I guess) , poetry, exercise..ever feel that you can be in your head stuck with divers interests but nary practice hobbies short of a privilege akin to lockdown levels of 'free time' again ?

I want to emphasize how imo I being asocial takes priority regarding my identity sooner then 'being on the spectrum' or (from what I mainly experience) allosexual for that matter.

Am unsure as to how oft I might be present hereabouts

What is your first name? Ken

Age: 62

Location: USA

Hobbies and Interests: listening to music, recently started watercolor painting, Minecraft, boy scout leader, visiting brew pubs,

Why are you here? Discussions about autism and life

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): At 60 my son said he thought I was autistic, I read a little but didn't have the bandwidth to do much. This past year I was laid off, and started investigating autism. I found Embrace Autism web page and took the AQ, and passed :). I've taken a few other tests online that seem to confirm. I'm going to a counselor that works with autistic teens and adults, and she agrees I'm autistic. I don't think I have any particular need for a full diagnosis since I've decided to retire.

Favorite subjects: software development

Year/Grade:

Favorite music: Everything But The Girl, The Cars, David Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, lots of 80s rock. I usually get fixated on one group, even one doing and listen to that for months.

Books: Patient by Ben Watts (EBTG), Living With Autism Undiagnosed by R. Horowitz (almost done with this book),

TV shows/Movies: sci-fi, action adventure,
Astrid, Patience, Sprung, Witcher

Instrument: none

Do you like sports? Not so much but I'll watch if others are watching.

Family: wife and son (Purdue student), extended family nearby mom, father in law, sister in law and 4 nieces

Clothing: comfortable, jeans, T-shirt (long sleeve since it's cold) fleece it flannel over that

How did you find this website? Mentioned in an article

Job: retired Software Engineer (embedded, controllers for automotive)

Plans for the future? Figure out what I want to do for retirement

Any comments?

What is your first name?: Emilia.

Age: 21

Location: Southeast US

Hobbies and Interests: music and watching sports are my only serious hobbies right now, the rest of my time is allocated to TV/texting/social media. Video games every now and then.

Why are you here?: I like messageboards, always have, it's a lovely home away from the disgusting modernity that I hate elsewhere.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Aspergers at 3 but probably should be diagnosed with ADHD and some sort of mood disorder as well

Favorite subjects: music that i like (80's-2000's rock), tv that i like (mostly 90s-2000s era comedies), american sports, interesting people, j-fashion (kote kei, tanbi kei and lolita), history

Year/Grade: sophomore in college maybe? idk I've dropped out a few times

Favorite music: Rotting Christ, The Smiths, The Birthday Massacre, As I Lay Dying, Alexisonfire, Thursday

Books: I haven't read western books in years. As a kid I was big into the Warrior Cats series. I seldom read manga, but Inside Mari was a good one I read recently. I read mostly yuri and maybe occassionally yaoi, but I'm not really in to it from an erotic standpoint, much more from a narrative standpoint.

TV shows/Movies: Seinfeld, The Office, South Park, Family Guy, The Good Place. Also like MLP FiM and early Spongebob for kids cartoons. Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Bang Dream! (all seasons) are my favorite animes. I don't really watch movies.

Instrument: Learning guitar... played piano and viola as a kid. I don't know if I will stick it out at guitar, it seems difficult for me to process properly but the more I learn about music the better, I at least need to be able to compose it one day.

Do you like sports?: Love em. NFL and MLB are the leagues I keep up with the most. Essentially a lifelong special interest. I basically have fanfiction for this stuff that I never really share with anyone.

Family: I'm an only child... nobody gave me a younger sibling even though I wanted one and now I'm all that my dumbass parents have. I didn't really mean that dumbass part, sorry, I'm embellishing.

Clothing: I don't really have a good relationship with clothes on myself. Like I mentioned in interests, though, I think j-fashion is incredible and beautiful.

How did you find this website?: I forget, this isn't the first time I've made an account here, but I couldn't find my old one's username or email.

Job: Delivery driver.

Plans for the future?: Make music and have a kid and hopefully a wife but I kinda suck at the whole romance thing idk

Any comments?: Woof
