I was made relatively [physically and mentally] slow and frail in this lifetime in order to teach me mercy.

Perhaps that's a better (and less bitter) way of looking at it. Maybe my suffering is how I'm being taught kindness and understanding.

it is perhaps too hard for mere mortals to learn modesty when one is king of the hill.

Well, I think I'll just look at it from the more positive viewpoint. It certainly can't hurt anything to stop feeling sorry for myself every once in awhile.

as hard as some of us have it, there is always somebody else who has it far worse. in desiderata it says "If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself."

That's very true. I know I am lucky compared to many people. However, it is hard to see so many others who are happy and much better off, especially when they seem to reject me based upon their prejudices. Every once in awhile I do remind myself that it could be much worse.

chances are, we don't like being reminded of ourselves so we also reject people we deem beneath us as well but that never enters our thinking because we generally don't notice those people in the first place, we only notice the shinier more beautiful people we put on pedestals above us. remember, there are people out there who regard US as the shiny ones. love THEM. and US.

I'll play. XD

I may or may not be a butterfly who end up being lost and left out of the flock by not following it's instinct. Too bad, being a cat in past life didn't crossed my mind.

If anything 'human,' I might have been a mix between a daredevil who lived a short life, a nurturing white witch who acts like a guardian of sorts, and a lone eccentric drifter.

I was a little kitty. *mew*

If you believe negative things about yourself, then your body and soul and spirit will listen and become those things.
If you believe positive things about yourself, then your body and soul and spirit will listen and become those things.

Bump! Bump! Bump! :D :P

I asked some mediums about this (Ask Erik Live on the Channeling Erik Youtube channel). Like: was I ever famous in any previous lifetime of mine? What previous lifetimes influenced this very incarnation of mine? :) This is what I was told: in the previous life I was a writer - I was not surprised at all; I'd love to be a writer in this life too, I only need to finish my novels. In some other incarnation I was a famous Spanish or French king back in the 15th century 8O 8O 8O I was once also a blacksmith in Ireland, a big dude who was almost two meters tall and a young child - also in Poland - who died at like 4-5 :) I also asked what's the spiritual reason for which I was born with ASD and I got the answer that the medium saw "some chapter that needed to get closed" (well, it's one enigmatic answer to tell the truth) and that "I wanted to be here during this whole chaos even if now I may not like it" (whatever this whole chaos thing could mean) :D

If past lives are real I believe I must have been a soldier in a Civil War who was executed by firing squad for desertion.

A lumberjack, leaping from tree to tree as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia. The giant redwood, the larch, the fir, the mighty Scotch pine. The smell of fresh cut timber, the crash of mighty trees, with my best girlie by my side.
