Sorry, had to look up what "smoke blowing up arse" meant, as I've never heard that expression.

pcgoblin is another whose fanclub I would gladly join.

I don't have much of a sense of what traven is like but I am fascinated by their books and music.

I looked it up too. I think Patrick Swayze accuses rich married women of doing it to him in Dirty Dancing, a film I watched obsessively as a small child.

If it is just a prohibition on insincere praise we are in the clear, but if some witty person would set out the rules of it I'd be grateful.

Apologies, everyone - it's just come to me that it was diamonds, not smoke.

I feel quite unpopular here, although I'm still glad to be here.

Why am I here?
One has to be visible to be unpopular.

You are well loved. You have shared your life with us and it seems as though we know you intimately even though we don't know who you are IRL.

I can only dream of being as popular as you. You are a very interesting person whereas I am soul-crushingly boring.

We all rejoiced when you weren't burnt to a crisp a while back.

Oh look at this :P if I were ever brave enough to sit at the cool kids' table, there is where I would come. Quite a gathering.

People on the social side of the spectrum are sometimes going to end up putting out more social feedback than they get back, no? Hard for them.
