Sometimes I wonder if the internet should have never been invented? The fact that another word for it is the "World Wide Web" is rather ironic, given that it really has become like a giant metaphoric spider web used to trap the entire world.

The Web has brought some good things into people's lives, but also a LOT of bad stuff too.

For one thing it has destroyed humanity's ability to be civil with each other and engage in meaningful relationships in the real world. It has been used to spread dangerous propaganda and misinformation that has made the world feel less safe these days. It's also used as a tool by sexual predators to hurt young children aswell as make human trafficking easier, etc.

And the worst part is that if we were to shut the entire internet down today it would make our problems much worst because we all depend too much on that spider's web these days.
