I was just thinking about this again.

I've never wanted to make that decision. I figure I'll let my surviving family and friends do whatever they feel is best. I mean, I don't know the difference, and I'd rather not think too much about it now.

That said, I think ideally... I'd prefer someone just take me to some remote location and bury me in the dirt. That doesn't seem too likely and probably isn't legal unless it's done through some kind of organisation with specific guidelines -- I think like the one that Brooks linked above. They did something like that in the show Six Feet Under when one of the regular characters died, and I liked that idea a great deal.

I'd rather vultures peck my eyes out than for my body to be beneficial to that species homo sapiens which I generally despise. I'm too misanthropic to promise gladly to donate my body to medicine upon death.

I think cremation is good, after any organs are donated. I think it would be nice to either have my ashes be put in an artifical reef, or shot into space like the creator of Star Trek had done.

I'd like my organs to be donated to people in need.

Then i'd like my ashes to be sprinkled on the ocean far away on sea.

Funerals are basically for the family... so they can do whatever they want with my body when I am gone. Personally I think burial/embalming is creepy but a lot of people need to have that "one last look" at their loved one. So when I am dead, they can do whatever they need to do to get past the grief.

Yup, me too.

The Parsi (Zoroastrianism) dead get eaten by vultures though as the number of vultures in India is declining the time taking for the bodies to decompose is longer. They have tried to install solar panels to speed it up.

Cremated but beforehand take any organs that could be donated. I definitely don't want to go rotten underground.

Not cremated, because that releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Therefore it's not very eco-friendly.

If I can continue to eat healthily (low gluten diet, organic as much as possible), then I think the most pragmatic means of disposing of my corporeal remains would be to feed them to zoo animals. Not wild animals, because feeding them would make the animals prefer human environments and human contact to their natural lifestyle. Thus making them "problem animals" that would end up getting killed.

I would like to do something useful with my dead body like be used as fertiliser to make something grow.
I'd donate any organs that are possible to be used and then be cremated.

I'd like to be cremated.
Not sure where I'd want my ashes to end up though.

I said other because I want to be buried but not the way it's usually done: I want to be in a biodegradable casket, and have no formaldehyde and crap pumped in me, so that my body decomposes and becomes food for worms and stuff. After I've donated all my viable organs.

I think at sea unwrapped would be great! Whole.

Then the environment can eat me up real fast.

On the other hand, cremation is appealing: again for a quick get away. Burn me. Bag me. Bury me beneath a tree somewhere where the sun rises.

The answer on my organ scavaging is no. And that is purely because there IS a market for it. Maybe the people installing them and recieving them are great but I've got an issue with the line of travel prior to that, so until I see an honorable nation, the answer is no.
They can however have my 4 pints of blood. (or what ever volume I have)
(*I've heard that isn't respected much anyhow-a person's organ wish; what do you guys think?)

And what is the point of getting buried anyhow? Someone's just going to decide to chip me up someday; move me for housing; study the past.

What will anthopology look like 400 years from now? I bet all those former dead didn't intend to be desecrated.

I want to be launched into the sun. Or deep space.
Could that actually be done if you had enough money?
