But…..they don’t answer when you talk to them! They’re just “there.”

They’re just dolls. I don’t see the appeal in them. And……they don’t reciprocate, put their arms around you, stroke you when they’re sad. They are not persons.

And the part about introducing Karina to the mother. That’s ridiculous. Karina won’t say, “nice to meet you.” (Unless the guy is a ventriloquist).

I wouldn’t want my son or daughter to introduce me to some doll…..

I wouldn’t want one myself but each to his own. Stuffed animals don’t act like real animals either but people still feel comforted by them.

If my child introduced me to a doll as if it was real I might be concerned for their mental health, but otherwise whatever. I don’t see how photos or porn are any different in terms of being not real. You can’t cuddle or talk to porn either but lots of people accept that.

I just feel a doll is a poor substitute for an actual person.

And porno is a poor substitute for an actual loving person.

And I never said I wouldn’t “accept” a person who wants a doll as a lover. I find just find the IDEA absurd.

Of course. I’m sure people would always prefer actual loving humans. They aren’t that easy to find though.
