Yesterday didn't have to load any merchandise

10-12, ASM gabe had the nerve to make me sweep the "sod" area and all the way back

Meanwhile tattle tale tom and court jester Adam had a great day standing around flapping their stupid lil traps, not cleaning anything or doing work. But whatever because they are having sex with the boss. ("Logic could be used to justify anything.". "At Will" employer)

Then after break, ASM gabe had the nerve to tell me to spend half an hour sweeping. Then after that pushed carts

After lunch pushed carts in the building

Briefly sprinkling. Shoes a lil wet

Then sweep the sidewalk

four weeks ago, head cashier juan and head cashier alfredo asked if i could load thirty plywood at a height over my head. they said i didn't have to do it. so i didn't do it. then juan asked tattletale tom to do it. a couple minutes later, tattletale tom had the nerve to tell me "plywood is not fifty pounds." "sorry", i said. (rolls eyes). tattletale tom didn't know that juan and alfredo told me that i didn't have to do it. juan didn't tell tattletale tom that, but juan should not have had to tell tattletale tom that. tattletale tom should not have been scorekeeping.

then two weeks ago, tattletale tom told me that i didn't have to load moulding (millworks). millworks associate "C" (about my height, about 45 years old, cisgender male, about 150 pounds) told tattletale tom that "it's not heavy", but it was above my head.

Thus far nobody from home Depot has:

Sat down and talked to me about "team lift" over fifty pounds . That's just a disaster waiting to keep happening. How manipulative. Home Depot puts on smoke and mirrors about "safety" and "diversity" but almost everyone that works there has the same stupid lil personality; and it's like home Depot is purposely going out of its own way to make me get physically injured. "Respect"? Supervisor Angela w had the nerve to bark at me numerous times. (Hypocrisy)

Told me about transferring stores - it's been three weeks since the next store said that I could transfer there

Told me my doctors note expired in June and it is now November

Had the nerve to make me redundant

____________

Home Depot disorganized like that

Yesterday with a customer loaded a 109 pound litterbox

From the "L" cart to the truck (my hip height )

Did not drop the Litterbox but it felt too heavy and I should have told an idiot to do it but there were none nearby at the time

yesterday, had difficulty carrying groceries two short blocks home from grocery store.

mangos
pita
sushi
milk
yogurt

nothing large or heavy. and two blocks is not far.

pretty soon, have to push my own cart to the grocery store.

feel pathetic, weak, embarrassed, and stupid.

It's been seven weeks since former front end supervisor Angela w had the nerve to tell me that if it is a team lift, I have to lift over fifty pounds

Since then, Alicia has taken over as front end supervisor

She once told me to lift the tank of a Litterbox but it was under fifty pounds

Since then no staffer has had the nerve to tell me to team lift over fifty pounds

I don't think Alicia is aware of what Angela had the nerve to tell me

Poor communication could be an advantage or disadvantage

at the department store today, tried on a couple of jackets.

shoulders felt physically weak, tired, sore. from the slightest movement.

no idea/clue how i am going to get all the way to retirement.

if it's "survival of the fittest", i do not understand how/why i survived to the ripe old age of 42.

My sister told me "don't worry about what home Depot will do" and "don't worry about how many pounds"

But I am worrying anyways

I have never found 'don't worry' to be helpful advice.

It is not nice to worry. If I could switch it off I would.

I did find CBT helpful for specific worries.

But I think whatever you do or don't do it's an uphill battle.

I know how little it helps, but by my book you are doing really well with it, shortfatbalduglyman.

Today went to food Maxx:

Two boxes sushi ($10 each)
24 bananas
8 yogurt
Garlic naan

$40 way too expensive

Only earn $21 hour and constantly terrified of getting made redundant

Carried them six short blocks

Struggled

Heavy

Tired

Old

Pretty soon have to bring my own shopping cart

When I get older , injured, disabled, or move further away from the grocery store don't know how to drag home groceries

Rapidly getting much weaker and slower and clumsier and was never great in the first place

Dread getting old

vaguely sore and stiff

rapidly getting much physically weaker, slower, and clumsider

and was never that great to begin with

don't even know why i am sore

plenty of jobs require lifting 50 pounds

burger king says "lift eighty pounds"
dave's hot chicken says "lift 50-75 pounds"

i am so doomed.
