There may have been a thread on this already, but I cannot find a search link on this forum. Somebody please direct me to that thread if there is one. I read that he has asperger's syndrome. I've been a fan for awhile and actually saw him live in the US two years ago. I know he's much bigger in the UK than in the states.
So, yes is anyone a fan of Gary Numan/Tubeway Army?

I love Cars. I've not really dug into his work - it's something I'd like to do.

His earlier stuff and the later stuff that I've heard from him has been pretty good, I know next to nothing about the stuff that he did between the early 80's and prior to 2000 or so.

For those of us that only know Cars (I love that song), any albums to recommend to start on?

I've been a Gary Numan fan since I first heard "Cars" on the radio in '79. \m/ :D
I also had a horrid crush on him for years - ohhhh, the eyeliner and the silver lipstick...

I've only just discovered him, and I seem to be working my way backwards through this discography lol.

So I'm basically starting with all his super dark stuff. Which is still great.

Definately a Gary Numan fan here.

My favourite album of his, is definately The Pleasure Principle, followed by Replicas. :) I also like Telekon and Tubeway Army.

I love his stuff.

"Cars" as well as "Are 'Friends' Electric" are my favorite songs of his (technicially the latter is Tubeway Army, but still...); I don't have much of his stuff though. I like hard copies of discs, and his stuff is near impossible to find here.

Love "Cars," though I haven't yet really delved into his stuff. But I did listen to a very recent song on YouTube, I think it was from his latest album, it was really dark and industrial sounding, but really catchy.

As I love GN, as he is one of my favorite artists (As I like his old and new stuff). Want to really see him when the new album comes out. Been a hardcore fan since "Jagged" and known him since around "Pure" I think. He is an underated icon, who also happens to have ADHD.

I bought the Cars 7" when it came out.. one of the first records I got with my own money. I liked Cars, but LOVED Metal (side B). Films is one of my other favorite songs on Pleasure Principle.

I met Gary after a show in Atlanta years ago.. super friendly and approachable. We talked about synths, his plane trip in the early 80s, ect. I remember (prior to meeting him) having a dream about Gary Numan.. I was in a city with no windows or doors, nobody there except me.. then I saw Numan walking.. I approached him, but he told me to buzz off. It was a weird, depressing dream. Meeting him in person helped for some reason.

I've covered a Gary Numan song in most of the bands I've been in.. love his music.
