if you mean the cache, I am on dialup unfortunately: I set the cache to 500 megs to load pages faster.

But, I also checked that before by individually loading it: still there.

er.. this time though it wasn't.

And: it means I am not troubled by your current erasure problems...

According to the alert quote at the top of the page, WP should be working fine in the matter of a few days or so.

Oh, *thats* why you don't like the ads. You can always use an adblocker. Firefox has one that you can install as a plugin.

I use the FF one, it's great. I'd die for a faster connection, my only other option is satellite and I can't afford that. So, stuck in the old age for the time being.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be annoying, but feel compelled to point out that I never complained about the ads... just the random messages on the top of the screen, which you did explain and then quietangel figured out...

And while we're 'talking' my own personal thanks for your work here. It's been educational, first, which is why I came in the first place, and also fun at the same time... a good combination. So thanks.

I've up-loaded another Avtar, and the image appears to be broken. Could it be my Computer?

probably not. Try deleting the old avatar before reuploading a new one.

But if you did use an ad blocker, Alex would really be disappointed.

BTW, my computer must not be configured right either because Alex's avatar is the old AOL logo. And Hermit: is cable not an option either?

No, but close... They hired me to be a Core Services programmer at their headquarters and I thought that I should put the logo up as a good luck charm to ensure that I have a good first day on the job (the 15th).

I've tried deleting the old image to make way for the new one, and it still doesn't work. I'll keep trying.
