Does anyone knows if ntsc gamecube games work on PAL Wii ? Somewhere I've read yes, you just need to follow a procedure, somewhere say you need freeloader, somewhere they say just no. :?:

I would say no because NTSC games do not work on PAL systems. You would have to open the system to take out something that only allows the region games to play only, when you remove it, it plays all region games. My ex did that with his PS1 but I heard it's very hard to get to that piece in the system.

Or if you use an action replay unit, it will let you play any region.

As far as I can see, it looks like you can use this "trick" to play them, but they won't be perfect (black bar)... Remember, the game is not converted, so you'll have to use a TV that can show NTSC.

Freeloader works better, though it still requires a NTSC-Compatible TV.

The websites that claims "No", is because they are written before the trick was found (because Nintendo have put a region-lock in the Wii) or because those who wrote it didn't knew about the trick.

Hope that helps.

To the best of my knowlage, the answer to that would be no without either a modchip or homebrew. Freeloader is blocked out in the newer firmware, as is a swap trick that people used to use in order to trick it to run.
