^^ Yaye greetings phil777. ^^ I must say that I am very excited for this happy expansion pack indeed. ^^ I certainly believe I shall attempt tp create a Worgen character. I have been considering for a veyr long time which happy class to choose and I believe I shall be blessed by the Warrior class with this race. ^^ This shall therefore be very fun to play through Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms within their new form. I am sorry if this is very silly of me however.

Well, seeing as i already have 2 characters on the alliance and only one Hordie, i guess my only logical choice for a fourth character would be a Hordie. Maybe one of those new combinations would be nice... Goblin warlock seems interesting, but so does Goblin warrior. Hmmm, decisions decisions. :p

Thankfully they didn't allow "too" much class combinations, but some of them are still odd.... Like Orc mage... Gnome priest is slightly odd but doable... Dwarf shaman is doable.... kinda... Human hunter....well that was inevitable, so was Blood elf warrior. Tauren Paladin seems WAY out of context somehow, but it could work... Troll druids sounds nice and makes a bit of sense after all the Animal Gods we've seen being associated with them... Tauren priest is uh.... Weird too.

Oh btw, there's some very nice info... Apparently they're adding a new district for the worgens in Stormwind, should be worth seeing... They're also going to lower the level of some zones, like in the Plaguelands... Oh yeah, and say bye-bye to mp5, spell power and atk power, it'll all be decided by your primary stat now... That is spirit, intellect and strength or agility respectively.

I only started playing about a year ago, and due to my altoholic nature, I'm already bored with all the starting zones. It'll be interesting to see how everyone starts off now that their zones have been torn all to the Twisting Nether and back. (Although I was puzzled by one note in the press release - "the devastated Badlands"? Aren't the Badlands pretty well devastated already??)

Wow, I only just heard about this. So they're making Worgen a playable race? That seems very strange, considering all the worgen in the game are evil and were created by Arugal who is evil too. Why would they join the Horde?

The more expansions they make, the more it makes me not even want to go back and play the game. Maybe the next expansion starts you off as a Wisp race. ;P

^^ Greetings SilverPikmin. ^^ I believe that is correct that many of the Worgen that you have seen are evil. However, the playable Worgen are citizen of Gilneas.

I believe that before the events within World of Warcraft, there was a humn kingdom named Gilneas who were aligned to Alliance. However, after a time, the king of Gilneas decided that this allegiance was not very beneficial for his kingdom. Therefore, the kingdom shut the gates of the Greymane Wall (the wall surrounding the kingdom) and thus shut themselves from the rest of the world.

However, after this, the Worgen curse entered Gilneas and transformed many of the human citizens into Worgen, and I believe many of these Worgen were able to retain their state of mind. ^^ I believe these are the Worgen that shall be playable in the next expansion pack, SilverPikmin, and they shall be aligned to the Alliance, not the Horde.

^^ Ah, the reason for this is that the cataclysm destroys the gate to the Greymane Wall I believe, thus freeing the citizens of Gilneas. ^^ I am very sorry if this is incorrect of me however.

I'm quite interested in playing Worgen, yet another alt though  Flying over EK and Kalim will be good though as I thought that would be pretty cool. Also what happens to the cities will be interesting too. :D

I have to say I'm a little dissapointed with them raising the level cap to only 85 instead of 90. I remember reading awhile ago that Blizzard said each expansion was going to raise the level cap by 10 levels until they got to level 100 and that would be the cap. Now they change it and it looks like the lied to people.

^^ Yaye, oh dear, I certainly see your opinion KenM. ^^ However, I believe the reason for raising the maximum level by five levels in this instance is certainly due to the fact that BLizzard would wish to keep raising the level until 100, no more than 100. ^^ Thus, I believe happy Blizzard perhaps wish to release a number of expansion packs. Also, this lvel is very much but a number in a number of respects. ^^ I believe I have also read that the time taken to increase to level 80 from level 85 shall be equal to that time taken increasing from level 70 to level 80, or perhaps very similar. ^^ Thus, I personally believe that the main difference with this is the maximum number involved, as there shall still be a very similar amount of content, if not more, than in previous expansion packs. ^^ This is all my opinion however, I am very sorry if this is silly of me.

Horde gets a gnome sized race, not interested.
Alliance gets a cool shape shifting werewolf like race, nice and fair that.

Guild leveling. ripped off from Aion to my knowledge, possibly ripped off from an even earlier game.

More old gods which really seem to be forced into the warcraft universe.

Another profession (archaeology) which opens another glyph system (that makes it mandatory if you're going to raid)

Gee blizzard finally figured out that hunters and mana aren't fun.

For some reason I'm just not excited about this expansion. yes there are some cool features coming in but most of them seem to be imports of other systems already being implemented in other games. I've known it for a while now I guess, but Cataclysm really drives it home. Blizzard doesn't do original work, they just polish what someone else has already done. And ActivisionBlizzard has become one of the most evil companies in the game industry.

But hunters are fun - that's why more races (including humans) will be allowed to be hunters! For one thing, hunters are among the few classes where it's possible to solo well past level 40, because they come with a partner (your pet), which is a bonus for Aspie players. :)

Raids are too social for my taste. You need to interact with 5-40 other people, and they have to like you or the raid leader will boot you. I don't even do pickup groups if I can avoid it - the few times I've been suckered into them, I haven't had nearly as much fun as soloing (or grouping with my friend, when he's able to be online at the same time as me, which won't be happening for another year, because he's about to deploy to Iraq again).

I'm told that the guild-leveling thing came first in EverQuest. It would be kind of hard to steal anything from Aion, considering it's not online yet...

And it's about time the Alliance got something cool. Maybe some of the kids will stop going Horde because "they gotz all teh kewl races".

Worgen hype will be lowered once they see the mount :

Compared to Goblin's...

Personally, I can't wait to see a Worgen riding a Mekgineer's Chopper... :)
