I'm itchy from head to toe. It seems like I'll never be able to get rid of these bloodsuckers. I lose sleep over it and always wake up terribly itchy. I'm pausing to scratch as I type this. Right now I think the only solution is moving away from them.

I live in the United States. If you didn't know they were real, you are very lucky.

I know they exist and yes, I'm lucky enough to not have to struggle with such a poverty.

I have never heard of something like "bed-bugs", I have never known anyone who has that problem either, isn't they only supposed to exist in some place like saudi, or india?

Is it only in Bed? or do you itch during the day too. My son complains he itches all the time, and my (possibly AS) husband says his skin itches too. He says it does a lot at night, but only when he's hot. I have tried moisturizers, changing soaps, different clothes but he still complains that he (my son) itches every day. I'm wondering if this may be a sensory issue.

I know it's bedbugs, I've seen them, crushed them and now have blood stains on the walls and sheets from them. Sadly, I may have to keep living with them and lose sleep.

There's a tiny percentage of chance it might be a dietary issue. Right now can't remember any sort of details, though.

Ohhhh dear, FicklePickle . . . :? :(

So those things actually exist. 8O
Frankly I've never heard of bed bugs before my roommate in college complained about it. Funny thing is I never see any bugs or have any itches at all. I actually thought he's just allergic to something.

But are you sure it's really bedbugs?
Can't they be just fleas?
Some can get pretty big when they have 'eaten' (sucked your blood).

Because if it's bedbugs, you'll have to change the all bed, mattress and all and not only catch the fleas as much as you can and wash the sheets and pillowcases.

Do you have dogs at home?

No, but I have cats. I guess it's up to me to do all that prevention stuff.

If you can you should get rid of your mattress (and buying another) and washing your clothes and sheets in HOT water.

Flees can't simply be smashed too easily. It actauly takes a little effort to crush them. Maybe bed bugs could be smashed? Not sure. (And yes folks, they do exist.) If it leaps extremly far it could certainly be a flee.

To O.P.> I probably deal with bed bugs to, but not that terribly. I feel for you a little, given that I have dust mights chewing on me right now, as I have my entire life. All I can suggest is replace the matress and clean your liveing space. Ugh. I remember laying in the foldout coutch matress my frugal father had. Feeling that swarm get all over. YUCK! That sucks. So sorry. :(

Bedbugs are becoming a big problem in most cities in Canada, a common source
of bed bug infestations come from secondhand furniture, like a mattress, bed
frames, or sofa beds. If you have fleas, try putting borax powder on the rug and
any furniture for a day then vacuum it up, it is safer then using bug sprays.
