I have been lucky enough to get help from a disability job network to find an employer to put me on a work trial.
When I have an interview with them they want to know how they can help me so I can work comfortably. They know I have AS.
I suppose my big concern would be the amount of background noise.
I tire easily too. I can't spend more than an hour on any activity, even if I enjoy it so that was a another concern. My job network member said that I could go to a different task each hour, but I think this would give me a mental burnout. So I'm not sure how I can get the most out of my work.
It will be a photo editing/retouching job use Light Room and I'll also have to organise and burn the photos onto a cd. It'll be fours a day, 3 days a week.
It sounds like a sweet first job, but I don't know how I'd be able to manage 4 hours a day of the same task.

Just remember to take a mental break during tasks, like working on the task but thinking about other things at the same time. Sometimes when I'm just doing the same tasks, like at a couple of my past jobs, I would still pay attention but I would play little games with myself. It would help the time pass by pretty fast. When you start working there, you will probably have time to adapt to doing some of the same tasks, with the feeling of getting bored. Also, if you really hate your job, you could always apply for another one in the future. You also never know; you may happen to really like your job. You never really know unless you start working there.

pensieve no one at a job expects you to focus on your job the whole time time take short breaks socialize if you can a little, just as long as you do the work you should be OK if you have any annoying habits try to restrain yourself. Most people in work never give 100% attention and focus at the work at hand, take mini breaks a few minutes at a time as long as you give them what they expect you should do fine.

It's just my employer, the secretary and me. Though the employer would be out on shoots most days.
I don't think you understand how quickly I can get tired. I read one chapter of a book and I'm almost asleep. Even an hour of posting on forums is a lot for me.
Although a think a break after 2 hours would do me well. And I usually spend a long time on the computer.
Now I just hope I'll be able to use the software.
