1. Yes.

2. Not always, but often they do.

3. Maybe, but why would they want to?
3b. Read more books.

4. I imagine that some aspies are great drivers, but some have terrible difficulties.

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. Yes.
3b. I come before a time of xboxes, playstations, and laptops, friend. I survived ;)
4. Define "good". If you mean NASCAR, then I do not know of any. If you mean surface street driving within the rules of the road then yes, there are aspie people here that are good at driving.

Yes, right-brained aspies are highly creative, just as how left-brained aspies are good at maths/science/etc. I personally used to write travel articles for lifestyle magazines, ones which are highly different from the traditional format of such articles. I'm more on the academic side, however - interested in serious issues. I do imagine I would continue to write travel articles (I get paid to travel) in my free time once I finish college, however, since my degree consists of not only a background in international relations, but mass communication and journalism as well. So yes, writing is my passion. Just not interested in fiction.

I don't fear groups of people. It's a matter of discomfort. I particularly feel uncomfortable around the opposite sex my age.

I don't really listen to much music anymore, rarely, if at all. I do however, use laptops and play games from time to time. I must mention that for half my life, I had no computer or internet access - I just read books. I assume I would revert to that in such a case.

I'm not a good driver. I prefer public transport. However, I've not had an accident till date, albeit a small scratch on my friend's car while reversing.

1. yes
2. no
3. yes, personally I like to read books.
4. Im a very good driver and im quite athletic, which is also amusing because im typically clumsy just walking around my house lol (for contrast, put me on a skateboard, snowboard or bike and I become one with the elements).

Actually, about the car driving thing, I often used to wonder if some of those F1 drivers were savants of some kind (this was in my days before I knew I had AS). They seem kind of hyper focused, emotionless, often robotic, very boring in interview, and have this single mega talent. Actually, a lot of successful sports people in all fields seem that way.

I have written long stories. I even have my own fanfiction account. Now I am posting my first ALOTO story there I wrote when I was 19. I am thinking about going back to writing.

Oh yes. That's why I'm shy.

Probably not. I don't play much video games like I used to.
I watch TV, read, color, play with my toys and write.

I do drive and am very good at it. I am not so clumsy as I used to be when I was a child.

I can only speak for myself.

How long do you want them to be? I wrote novella-length fan fiction as a teenager. Hardly the stuff of genius, but it was there and I like to think it was a little different from what would be the norm in those circles.

I've always been a very careful person, though despite these pretensions I have been naive enough to get myself into trouble sometimes.

I would be a lot more productive than I am now. I've been there, done that. My sleeping patterns quickly went from irregular to perfectly healthy. I have a laptop in my room because I should write my thesis on it someday and it's presently destroying my earlier productivity from when there were no distractions.

I don't ever want to face the road. I've been told that even if you're clumsy you can still be an OK driver if you're careful enough, and that being a bad driver is typically more of a mentality thing. I don't know how true this is.

I'm not sure about the left-brained/right-brained distinction. I was never sure about where I would supposedly fall in this dichotomy.

Short answers: yes, no, yes, yes, no.

Long answers: I have a highly active imagination, and I have the writings skills to write a novel if I had the motivation to (doctor who gave me my legal diagnosis double majored in English and said I had the best writing he had ever seen). But writing just doesn't interest me.

I couldn't go cold turkey on music, I love it. I could easily go cold turkey on video games as long as I was somewhere interesting like my family's mountain cabin.

"I'm an excellent driver, excellent driver." :P I am a better driver than some of my friends, that's for sure.

You'll find that the answer to every single "Are all Aspies..." question is no. There are no two Aspies alike.

Personally I have an over active imagination and like writing very long, never ending stories.

I find groups of people overwhelming, but usually there's more external stimuli that contributes to this problem. Sounds and smells, etc.

I would go insane without my music and need my computer because I interact with people online, and also I need it for my photography.

I don't play video games that much. I prefer Nintendo so if XBOX's and Playstations disappeared I wouldn't even notice. I don't have a laptop so I wouldn't notice if they disappeared also. My mum would probably lose her mind though.

I don't drive and it's not because of clumsiness, it's more to do with processing a lot of information at once and anxiety.

I can only answer these for myself because I know things are different for other people.

CAN ASPIE PEOPLE HAVE A GREAT IMAGINATION AND WRITE LONG detailed stories?

Yes, I have a very big, vivid imagination & my writing is always long & VERY detailed.

Also, do they always fear groups of people or other people? or confrontations?

Yes, Yes.

Can aspie people go cold turkey on music/computers/video games?
Like what would happen if all Xboxes and playstations and laptops disapeared?

Yes. I didn't even have a computer until a year & a half ago. It would be very hard, but I'd manage somehow. I'd go back to reading incessantly.

Any ASpie People here good at driving? Or are they all usually clumsy
I've never driven before, so I can't answer that question.

1. I'd say I have a good imagination but not a great creative writer. Lots of people aren't great writers tho.

2. I don't.I might be uncomfortable having to interact with a group of people but I do alright 1 on 1 but I have my moments. I might be a little too confrontational sometimes actually. I'm the oldest brother in my family, that's how I conduct myself.

3. Yea, sure. Sometimes I wish I would so I could do more productive stuff. Read books, do schoolwork, exercise more, and I dunno, just go out in the world more.

4. I haven't started driving yet. I probably will learn how this year tho.

I am a writer, but when it comes to describing the surrondings I've been in it's really difficult. I can write about emotions in great detail (which is odd, I know) but when it comes to writing about my surrondings, well, I can see it in my mind but describing it to others is next to impossible.

I fear open ended groups such as like a party or get together. One on one isn't to difficult as a conversation is like a chess match and I'm always 2 moves ahead. However, if somebody else joins the conversation it is like playing chess on a triangle board and the mathamatical possiblites goes up by a staggering amount and I will then no talk much. Oddly enough though I have no problem talking in front of a group. It took 4 years of race directing to get good at it, but now it's nothing for me to go to a Rotary Club, a group of teachers, or even the police academy to talk about Autism Spectrum Disorders.

I could quit cold turkey so long as something else was there to replace it.

I am actually a great driver and have driven race cars and was an instructor at a racing school.
