A new element by a team of Russian and American Scientists was discovered. It sounds pretty cool. It took them around 250 days to make it lol

Here's the link:

Not only that, it may turn out that the heavier artificial elements are more stable (they last longer) than the lighter artificial elements. It is possible, in principle, to create an artificial element that lasts a long time. Such stable new elements should have some very interesting chemical properties.

I'm still waiting for them to make some that stays around long enough to see it.
But it still might suddenly go totally nuke-aboom then if they did.

Very cool. What did they name it?

When I was in high school, there were only 103 elements in the table. Time flies.

I'd like to know how many more elements it is possible to discover, as we have come to the end of period 7. Will it go on indefinitely, and if so, where do they belong on the periodic table.

Once they discover the suspected 'island of stability', I'll probably move there! :P
