Hi
I have discovered the pot of sheer awesomeness, that is Airsoft! I'm curious as to weather anyone else here on the forums does it... and if so, do you have any beginner tips etc, such as where to get cheap gear (I'm in the UK and don't have a UKARA or anything)

I love airsoft and force on force. Helps you manage chaos (something aspies have a problem with) much better.

Yeah I've been a couple of times; a mate of mine has a few spare guns kicking around I use. It's certainly great fun but I'm always a little creeped out by some of the gun-nuts and 'call of duty fanboys' that I see at my local site.

...would i qualify as a gun-nut? fair enough i am interested in guns enough to have a favourite type of firearm and make of gun (which happens to be sub-machine guns and the TDI vector)
but im not violent or anything

not that you know me enough to make a decision on that one but yeah...

I guess not no (sorry, I've just remembered I posted in this thread), it's just something about watching a bunch of guys salivating over a toy that makes me feel a little out of place. I'll get used to it, it's a lot like ogling classic cars I suppose :P

I used to go, but haven't in years.

I still have 3 Western Arms SVI pistols and a TM UZI that I've been meaning to get rid of. I'm not up with all the new rules with the law changes, but it seems it's harder to buy or sell them any more.

Maybe one day I'll go again.

All of my guns were broken by my brother and his friends. They built a fort in the woods and adjacent swamp. I personally haven't played since my guns were broken.

I started this summer. It's been great and I recommend if you are into hiking and military things. If you happen to live in Canada the rules are very strict and privately regulated withing the community, so get in contact with them first before you buy anything!
