Cool, DemonAbyss, someone else who isn't ashamed of loving Gundam Wing! Over here, it was probably the only Gundam series that ever aired on Dutch television, so that's why it's very close to my heart.

I wouldn't be able to make a top 5 myself (simply haven't watched that many anime series loyally), but my 3 favourite anime shows are:

1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
2. Cowboy Bebop
3. Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex

Which are 3 pretty well-known ones, I know. 2 of them, I know about only because I purchased them on DVD after reading about it on internet forums and the like... in fact, I ran into GitS: SAC when I was searching for the Ghost in the Shell movie in the library. And I thought I had found it, but it was the series instead! And that's how I got hooked on Kusanagi and the rest.

Bebop aired on TMF, of all channels, around 2005-ish. Fell in love with it for having bounty hunters instead of 'actual heroes' as protagonists, and for the gorgeously animated fight scenes (whether hand-to-hand or space dogfights).

I want to make honourable mention of the kids' show 'Shinzo', and the movie 'Princess Mononoke'. I haven't seen all that many Gundam series, but the ones I did see, I liked very much.

I noticed you didn't mention Gundam Seed, DemonAbyss... was it not to your tastes?

Yeah, gundam seed was the only one that really turned me off. Not quite sure why though. I think it was the characters that put me off a bit. Was a bit too love-story-ish at times.

And I totally forgot to mention outlaw star, so now I just dishonored myself for not mentioning it earlier :/

I'm actually going to include an anime series of which I have only read the manga, but it is so brilliant, I need to have it in the top 5, anyway.

1. Monster (only read the manga, but it was brilliant)

2. Death Note

3. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

4. Neon Genesis Evangelion

5. Dragonball

1. Kanon (2006 version)
2. Hayate the Combat Butler
3. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (including the movie)
4. Clannad (aswell as After Story)
5. Inukami!

Kind of hard to pick, but I think these are the ones I enjoyed the most and really stuck.

Hmm, tha's a hard one. Now I'm just drawing a blank. I'll assume this is for ANIME not MANGA so let me try to leave all of those comics out of the picture.

1. Full Metal Alchemist or Ghost in the Shell: SAC
2. Wolf's Rain
3. Macross Frontier
4. Ouran High School Host Club
5. Code Geass

I tend to be much more into Video Games of late.
