Does anyone watch this? My roommate just pointed out there is a guy on there that is both OCD and possible Asperger's. However, when I turned it on to watch I was horrified at how awkward the man was at life. Is this truly how most people with Asperger's act??
Yes I do, but I missed last night's episode--I'll have to watch it online.
Was the AS conversation then? It was not alluded to in previous weeks.
If it's the guy I think it is (I'll let you know), then IMO he has a bunch of
other comorbid conditions, but
not AS.
Of course, the whole thing is sensationalized, but believe it or not, from what I've read about "exposure and response prevention," the depiction of it is accurate. Horrifying, huh?
One of the participants reminds me way too much of someone I know. The look on her face when she's scrubbing her hands is exactly like the look he gets when he's doing the same thing. Scary.
