Does anyone else absolutely LOVE this site?

tvtropes.org

You can apply so much of what you learn in comics and TV to how you see your daily life and how to see how stories are told.

I love analyzing tropes. The site looks like a lot of fun to pick through. :)

To accompany your reveal of that web page , one appropriate such trope would be: Drum roll, please.

*blows raspberry for several seconds* *imitates cymbal crash*

TV Tropes is one of my favorite sites. I get lost in there for hours. :D

I'm curious - what tropes apply to you/your life? (Anybody can answer this, not just the OP.)

Do you ever wonder what trope you ( editorial) represent?

There are so many I can think of to apply to my own life.

Badassnormal
Aspiring to it.

CrazyPrepared
Gun and survival obsessive interest

CrossestheLineTwice
My sense of humor.

TakeThatScrappy
When I rant about things that annoy me.

DarkAndTroubledPast
No shortage there...

CrowningMomentofAwesome
I try to have as many as I can.

DudeNotFunny
I can do an impression of John McCain (tortured in Vietnam to a point where he can't lift his arms above his shoulders) doing jumping jacks!

HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood

DeadBabyComedy
A lot of my jokes end with me asking "Too soon?"

BreaktheCutie
My advice to certain WrongPlanet members...

I'll pass on the blow and take another Hooker in its place!

I've never seen what's so great about this site, it just bores me.

Snopes.com, on the other hand, is a totally different matter...

Oh, I think it's pretty cool. Every once in a while I check it out and get lost in the tropes. It's always good for at least a couple of chuckles. Haven't ever thought about which TV Tropes apply to my own life, though.

Also... is that a Genis-Vell avatar, RICKY5?

I go there all the time. My favorite tropes are:

Badass

Sci Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale

One Man Army

and my personal favorite:

I Have Boobs You Must Obey!

As much as I love TV Tropes (it's both fun to read through and a major help to my own writing), could you please make sure that any articles that are linked back to on it are safe for work?

I love the 'Heroic BSOD' page in particular, really.

The Plutonian from Irredeemable, which is also on tvtropes.org

I'm sure many guys on WrongPlanet can empathize with the Plutonian even if they don't want to.

SamaritanSyndrome is a good one.

I also like Blessedwithsuck

I like that site, but I hate how the Whateley Universe is on every other page.
