Hang in there. ( I know thats lame) I have not only been there and done that, I wrote my name in the concrete with my fingernails. What works for me is exersize. ( again, I know it sounds lame) but it really works for me. I find being exausted prefferable to being in a state of panic. It been proven to be as effective as most drugs in some study that I did not read.
What ever you do. I hope it passes soon and you feel better. Remember you are not alone, there are alot of us out here.
(Why does every thing I'm saying sound like " there, there, now, now"?)

Woah, hey Deccajay, you haven't been on here in a while.

When i have anxiety attacks, i just rationalize the situation and write down what's on my mind. I still have trouble controling my emotions but i'm working on it. Maybe some meditation or yoga could help as well.

^ Yeah, just hang in there. Keep pushing through and what not.

i second the notion of working out till you drop. i became a marathoner and bicycle racer after starting aerobic conditioning to combat depression. worked perfectly. i became happy for the first time ever. no panic attacks, no depression...started traveling. worth a try.

Thanks all. I am trying to get ahold of my dr. I was on an anti anxiety medication and My dr's wanted me to go off of it. it was an extended release and I started on tapering .5 a month. after 6 months it caught up with me and I am having mager withdrawls i think. All I know is that I am having anxiety more intence and more constant than I am used too. they raised my does last week but it takes almost as long to start working as it does to stop. I cant take this for a month. My skin hurts and I feel like I need to rip it off. I started to feel a little better for a bit but then it his me full force again yesterday. i agree with the exersise. usualy that works and I try to keep active. but these past few weeks have just been more rough then I am used to.

I have high anxiety all the time, and I have had panic attacks in the past. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and be unable to breathe. As you can imagine, that felt very frightening.

As other people have said, you are not alone on this forum. Hang out with us! :)

I understand...I've been struggling with anxiety ever since second grade. I remember I got so nervous about going to school that I would get a stomachache every day. I take meds too. It helps me to get away for a few minutes and collect my thoughts and visually go through the steps of calming down.
