Do you do things in dreams that are out of character?

The poll about smoking reminded me that I smoke in my dreams and quite enjoy it, but never once wanted a cigarette while awake. I find this odd. Does anyone else have some habit or personality quirk only when dreaming?

Well, in the last dream I had that I remembered I was knife fighting, certainly not something I'd like to do in rl.

I can fly...

Oh yeah! I used to be able to fly...badly. Never could get much altitude.

I was spying on Molly Ringwald in a dressing room. And it wasn't the hot one from the eighties.

I drink more in my dreams than I do in real life. I also have a lot more success with guys too.

There's so much that I do...only in my dreams...

I get into a lot of fights, in my dreams and I'm in Judo tournaments.

Doesn't everyone do things out of character in their dreams?

I'm straight edge & my dreams resemble shroom trips.

I have no idea. That's why I asked.

It just feels odd to wake up and remember dreaming about doing something that just isn't like me. It's much more common for me to have dreams in which strange things are happening, but I am still acting more or less the way I'd act if those things were really happening. eg. Running away from the weird monster, or trying to get all the green sand out of my bathtub since it clearly doesn't belong.

Jump really high

I am rather sadistic and very aggressive, the later of which is quite out of character. I'm usually so mellow I pass for stoned.

In my dreams, I drive a lot, to some really strange places - and everyone around me acts really weird.. and I'm usually confused.. well at least the first part is out of character.

I'm Zhuge Liang. (well any type of strategist really). Yet I'm always in a war with somebody or having a romantic moment with my girlfriend in my dreams.

In most of my dreams I'd not say I am out of character but my last one, the snippet I can remember was that I was... making out with a transgendered [& 'scene'] male my age (I mean he was female and is now not... is that the right way to put it then?). NOT a clue where that came from. The weirder part is that somehow the fact was known that he was dating a transgendered female, also 'scene'.

WEIRDEST dream ever. So yeah, that was totally out of character.
