We all know (or most of us do anyway) about the tragic story about the red hooded girl who threw those puppies in the river, well a 76 year old lady saved those poor puppies and well they're alive :D (sadly she couldn't save all of them, remember there was a white one?)

Use Google translate or something, here's the link:

P.S- The girl that threw them is on psychiatric evaluation, and her father had to give a statement at the local police department. The old lady is trying to find someone to take care of the puppies as she can not afford to feed them. - FJ
I so wish i could adopt one oh and guys do me a favor and don't say any personal attacks or death threats towards anybody, thanks ;)

Poor puppies. I hope the girl who threw them in the river gets found and punished. She would probably need psychiatric treatment also; I think she would be in the at-risk category for antisocial personality disorder.

Thanks for this good news, with the exception of the one who didn't survive. I just hope they can get good homes with people who will feed and care for them properly.

well don't forget the camera man who let this happen,
if i was there i would jump into the river and risk my life to save as many of those puppies as i could, sadly im not a good enough swimmer and can barely keep myself a float, but I would still do it

Wow it's amazing how many survived.

I really think the true heroes in this world are almost always the underdogs.

Now comes the hard part--finding good homes for those poor pooches.
And I'm too far away (3/4 of North America, across the Atlantic, and onward from there toward Hungary) to do a @*#$! thing to help....
(You hear me!? Yesterday would not be too soon to give one of those puppies the love and caring it needs, people!)

Well I think with the media coverage, those pups will be adopted soon.
But if not then she should find a farmer and ask him or her to take them cuz farmers usually have the room and resources to feed a bunch of puppies plus they are well connected with other farmers.

God damn WP. Hey Alex fix your damn forum and the database! This is a SMALL SMALL forum in comparison to so many others, and it is glitchy as hell.

Some optimized DB queries would make this run 10x faster on the same hardware.

I TRANSLATED the news story. My Croatian is rusty so it took forever, and the post was lost to a WP glitch.

Screw this.

I'm glad that she was able to save them. I'm also glad that the girl is going to see a neuropsychiatrist (or maybe it's really a neuropsychologist; I read the article with Google Translator). I wonder how she was really able to save them? They said that she took a wooden "kištru" (which is a box or chest), but it didn't say how she got them out. She must really care about those dogs if she's living off of a pension and is still trying to take care of them. Here's the link to the translated article:

That is definitely great news to learn. The puppies have survived part of the battle, so next challenge for them is to find a new home away from the girl.

Likewise, I hope that the psychiatric does that girl good. She obviously has issues and did this as not just a stunt.
