I surprised myself by scoring a 41, which is apparently in the average range. My (virtually non-existent these days) social life definitely doesn't indicate anything remotely approaching an average level of social activity and success.
IMHO, one flaw with this test is that it's highly questionable that one would be able to accurately assess his/ her own level of social competence. After all, social competence is largely related to how successfully one is able to present oneself to, and successfully interact with others.
The results would most likely be a lot more accurate if a sampling of people each of us interact with on a regular/ semi-regular basis were to answer questions regarding our social competence, and then the scores from those people's answers were averaged.
In any case, I'm over-analyzing, as I tend to do. I'll stop "talking" for now.
