How are you planning to celebrate? What's on the menu? What gifts are you expecting to receive? What gifts are you hoping to receive? What gifts are you planning on giving?

Not celebrating. Ramen is on the menu. Not receiving or giving anything. Just curling up by this ancient heater and trying not to freeze to death. It's alright, though...

My family usually gathers at my aunt's house on Christmas day, and I think that's what we're doing this year.

I'm expecting to receive a computer scanner, an almanac, a new calendar, some DVDs, and some new clothes for Christmas.

In the mean time, I might watch some Christmas specials on television and consume lots of hot chocolate. :)

I'm buying Christmas gifts for myself. I enjoy the great discounts this time of year on clothes and jewelry.

In the past, I've tried to get people to adopt me for the holiday. Now I don't even bother to try, so I'll be alone for Christmas, as I have been for many years.

I'll just be grateful for all that comforts me: a job I find challenging, my two cats, quietness, a warm home, health, money to meet my medical needs, and a few local aspie contacts who help me understand and cope with my aspie traits.

I gave were to members of my medical team. I gave them a box of candy from Kirkland Costco. My dermatologist loved it. I also gave one to my pharmacy because we see each other alot and have for the past ten years. I also gave one to the my favorite sales lady at Fashion Bug.

I did go to a cookie exchange at work. I enjoyed that.

I hope you have all your needs met this holiday season.

Just the usual: breakfast, presents, dinner, trip to the movies...

Not sure what I'm getting, aside from two days off work :-)

I'll be out of town for the holidays. Not sure what my aunt is making. Gift wise? Got a coat and a nice sweather. . My birthday comes around the holidays too. Christmas just isn't that interesting or fun to me anymore. I can't stand the carols. But when it's all over I will get sad again. It's very weird. I don't know why. Come Jan 1st I will be depressed because it's also a brand new year.

Christmas is a feast of listening: medieval and Renaissance music from my collection, popular old Christmas records from my parents' attic (a circa 1965 Firestone Tires giveaway album is my favorite), spoken word recordings of A Visit from St. Nicholas, A Child's Christmas in Wales and A Christmas Carol and on Christmas Eve, Cambridge University's Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on the radio. Most of the year, music is just in the background, but give me some eggnog to drink and Christmas lights to watch and I'm all ears.

Everyone in my family is so jaded that token presents are all I give--or expect to get. Actually, I already have my not-so-token gift--a new, but incredibly retro 80's style boombox with built-in "disco" lights and cassette player/recorder! I kinda feel this has been sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

Our traditional Christmas dinner is standing rib roast, potato, peas, citrus salad. The only variable is the flavor of pie for dessert--this year it's blueberry. The best part is cold roast beef sandwiches in the evening and the next day.

I do alternative giving (I give to charity rather than exchange presents--this really pisses some people off (bonus! )).

I NEVER buy presents for anyone over the age of 12!

However, I did treat myself to a kindle and a Guitbass (three string guitar) to celebrate my new scholarship!

I gotta work so I'm not really doing anything special...

Still, I think I'll make some rotel dip and beef/bean/cheese Christmas burritos!

BOOM! ...yummy.

I got a gift already.

IT'S A COOKBOOK! A COOKBOOK!

I'm also hoping for a digital camera.

In the morning I'm going to open up presents with my family. Then we're going to eat ham and potatoes for dinner. Then we're going to visit my sister and her husband and their kids.

As for presents, I'm getting some DVDs, some T-shirts and a poster.

I always celebrate. I put up my Christmas stuff, I got my husband a stocking stuffer and six presents. My husband got me a couple gifts already but I never opened them yet. This Saturday I plan on going to my aunt and uncles and then to my sister in laws because my husband wants to be there.
