I know that there are songs for just about everything you can think of right now, but is there one that ever caught your attention and you felt like it meant something to you in sort of a spiritual way or what have you. Idk if its just me or if im being lame or crazy or whatever, but I thought it might be an interesting topic anyway for me the song is Through Heaven's Eyes its by various artists from a very old movie called The Prince of Egypt. Now granted it is a religious movie, I don't remember much of it I think it was Mosses's story, but that song just seemed to speak to me. Yes I am christian, but I don't read the bible kind of odd but thats me. Anyway back on subject anyone else know of a song that spoke to them? also here is the link to the video of the song I was talking about.

That song is just soooo cute. And I feel that I'm such a bother to people that they're singing that song. So then I revert back to my comfortably lonely hermitive existance of doing stuff.

It's an interesting coincidence that you have created this topic today, because I have been in a very spiritual mood. The song which speaks to me on a spiritual level is a Catholic hymn called "You Are Mine", written by David Haas.

Usually when I listen to songs, I use them as a kind of background noise and sometimes even forget I'm listening to them. Not so with this particular song. Whenever I hear it, it feels like I'm being bowled over by a monstrous ocean wave and I feel stunned until the last verse is sung.

I rarely cry these days, but hearing this song is almost guaranteed to bring me to tears every time I hear it, regardless of whatever mood I'm in. Not because it's sad (it's actually rather hopeful), but because it brings me in touch with the Holy Spirit and reminds me of how much God loves me.

a conditional "if" - if i was sufficiently normal to have had any success in attracting a mate, i suspect i would fail at keeping said mate. this said, the following songs are especially resonant with me-

*once i was [tim buckley]
*people are strange [jim morrison]
*laugh laugh [the beau brummels]
*don't think twice [bob dylan]
*everybody's talkin' at me [fred neil]
*it ain't me, babe [bob dylan]
*solitary man [neil diamond]
*touch me [jim morrison]
*the boat that i row [neil diamond]

you get the picture

"Sugar, We're Goin Down" by Fall Out Boy. Sugar, We're Goin Down on Songfacts
I've written about 4 or 5 entries (Hannah from Gustavus) to Songfacts about it. Every time I go through something with a boy, I can relate it.
