All of these revolutions in the Middle East came about because of the Internet and, specifically, Facebook...

...which was invented by an Aspie, who, according to some accounts, just wanted to mest girls.

Mark Zuckerberg has indirectly toppled two, possibly three, dictators who have been in power over millions of people for decades.

It may be because of him that the Arab world finally becomes free.

Oh yeah, and Aspies pretty much invented computers, too.

Pretty heavy stuff when you think about it.

:lol: Which world are you talking about? Obviously not earth. This site is not called "wrongplanet" because aspies "rule the world". People in "The Haven" commiserating about still living at home with their abusive parents and being unable to hold a job or get a significant other probably don't feel like they "rule the world".

I don't think we rule the world. But some highly intelligent aspies can change the world in unespected ways, like Bill Gates, Einstein, Zuckerberg etc.

No, they don't rule the world, but they're important. I'm guessing there are far more in-depth conspiracy theories out there which have nothing to do with Asperger's, or make Autistic individuals out to be mere pawns. In any case, at least one psychometrician, Paul Cooijmans, believes that having Aspergian/Aspergoid qualities is practically a prerequisite for genius.

Get real.

Aspies are a minority of a minority (1% max are on the spectrum, less than that are Aspie). Highly competent Aspies are a minority of that minority minority.

Highly competent Aspies are outnumbered by highly competent NTs. Just because lots of NTs are fluffy, it doesn't mean there are none that are hard as nails running the show.

And wasn't Egypt's net connectivity immediately blocked - so people ended up using dial-up modems and FAX machines instead?

This may be true. But being Aspie is neither a necessary nor sufficient condition for causing unexpected changes.

Anything geeky - computers, websites, gadgets, software, etc - had Aspies involved at some stage, and it's often the case that Aspies start the things off, too. So, to some degree, yes.
