WTF is going on?
Pure coincidence. Move along. Nothing to see here. Every year is like this. 50%  50%  [ 3 ]
I don't know. I agree, it is very strange. Something must be going on. 50%  50%  [ 3 ]

so a volcano in Chile has blown up, one in Mexico is erupting and one in Iceland did about a week or two ago. earlier this year we had a tsunami of Biblical proportions in Japan and a devastating quake in New Zealand.

What do you think, is something going on in space?

In space? The presence of anything massive enough to affect tectonic plate movement would be obvious from all the other things it'd mess up - tides and GPS for starters - and unless it was a small black hole*, there'd be a slightly obvious extra moon in the sky. And we'd've seen it on the way in. So no. And AIUI the Moon's gravitational influence actually moderates earthquake activity by flexing the plates and stopping them from building up stresses, but I could be wrong there. If you scale up the mass and/or reduce the distance of a hypothetical rogue object you can start to mess with tectonic plates but basically, if there was anything like that flying around it'd be extremely visible.

I wouldn't worry about it.

*as in order-of-planetary-mass kind of thing; I'm not even sure that they form, think you only get teeny-tiny, (big, like much heavier than the Sun) star-sized, and ginormous all-consuming multi-multi-star-sized balls of doom at galactic centres.

I wish that man would just have gotten raptured so we would never have to listen to him again.

The Earth is alive and well, which is the good news, and sometimes we are just fleas along for the ride. 8)
