Im a student at the University of Oregon

I was accepted into Oregon, USC, UC santa barbera, Notre Dame, University of Washington, Hawaii and Chapman (CA),

was denied to UCLA, UC Irvine (dunno why), Stanford, Cornell.

It was the cheapest option for me as I couldnt afford any of the other schools i got accepted into....they didnt help me financially at all cus my dad made too much....and I wanted to get out of state so Hawaii wasnt really a favorite for me.

I didn't apply to too many places, but I wasn't denied by any of them. I could have gone anywhere I wanted for the most part, and when I got into Stevenson University they wanted to put me in the Honors Program. I didn't want it though.

Aside from Bethel University I've so far only applied to colleges, but I was accepted there into their chemistry program. However, it was $25,000 per semester and living under my stepdad's excessive income the FAFSA denied any financial aid to me until the year I turned 24, otherwise I would have gladly gone there. After it is possible to apply to the University of Minnesota for their 2012-2013 school year, as per their deadlines for admission into science and engineering programs, I will apply there and probably be accepted there also.

I went back at 24 also. Getting Aid now. :-) Finishing my AA at a Community College then going to a local FL university for Bachelor. Sadly I'm interested in Psychology and behavior in and of itself not diagnosing AS *or insert disorder* Sadly 90%+ programs are counseling/therapy!! !! ! NO THANKS!! !! I JUST WANT TO STUDY BEHAVIOR THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I suppose that's a difficulty with colleges: you sign up for what you sign up for, so you need to make sure ahead of time that what you're signing up for is what you want. This time around for me, I'm going to examine the textbooks for the classes before deciding for certain, since, at least with Rasmussen, they provided junk material at middle school grades and pass it off for "higher [priced] education". Hopefully a university wont do the same, but I should still make sure. Also, my wife wants me to sit in on some classes prior to signing up also. I think I'm going to see about asking some of the students about the type and quantity of homework assigned, such as is it to an amount that it's actually distracting from ones studies and is it actually related to the subject or does it merely use the subject as a theme. The price for the U of MN and Rasmussen are about the same, but hopefully the quality is better than what one finds in un-emptied toilets.

I went to University of Washington for undergrad, and am at Southern Illinois University for grad school.

SIU was the only place I got accepted for grad school, I got rejected from University of Chicago, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, San Diego State (waitlisted), San Francisco State and Portland State.

Undergrad (in addition to Washington) I was accepted to University of Oregon, McGill, USC, Northwestern, and Boston University. Rejected from Dartmouth, Duke, UC Berkeley, University of Virginia, and I think 1 or 2 others I can't remember.

I've been accepted to every college/university to which I've applied, even though it's a short list: Casper College, Oregon State University twice, and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology twice (once for their undergrad ChE program and once for their grad ChE program). I only went to CC to get some main coursework out of the way for cheap, then OSU for my B.S. and M.Eng.

UO actually offered to pay me $30,000 a year to get my Chemistry degree through them, but I had set myself upon Chemical Engineering at that point and turned them down.

As I didn't take the SATs while I was in high school, I never applied to any university. I just went straight to a community college after graduating from high school.

I hope to transfer to University of Texas at Arlington after I'm done with community college, though.

I've only applied to one university: Dalhousie. That is where I go, and I will graduate in May 2012. I do intend on going to grad school, but I am not sure where. I want to work with animals at some point...even though I am not currently in a science program....

University of Calgary. That's it. I didn't feel any need to leave my home town for another university.

During my senior year, I only applied to the University of Oregon since it was close by. That was the biggest mistake of my life. My ACT score could have gotten me into some places that were actually good. After 2 years of hell at the UO, I applied as a transfer to U of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and was accepted there. Then I couldn't afford it after the first year, so I had to return to Oregon (much to my dismay).

Follow my advice: Never settle for mediocrity!

Just curious OP... How do you like that school?

Cyanide - I love the University of Oregon, especially during the summer like now!

I'm sitting outside in the sun on a the deck of the AEPI fraternity on 15th and Alder getting ready to BBQ with some friends in the fraternity,

I like the fact that people here are really open minded, from all parts of the country, our football team kicks ass and there are soooooo many good looking chicks everywhere you look.... and all the nature there is in Oregon.

What didn't you like about Oregon?
