"Brave is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida's quest - and serving as comic relief - are the kingdom's three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane)."

Looks interesting. And it's PIXAR!! I've never met a Pixar movie I didn't like, so this is on the 'must-see' list.

When is the release date?

According to IMDb, the release date is June 22, 2012. Leave it to Disney to start promoting it a full year in advance. I hate when they do that!

I'll definitely be there, but I sure hope Pixar isn't going to suffer the same fate as WDA did with The Black Cauldron.

I love the black cauldron.

It was a pretty good movie, but it came at a time when Disney was really having behind-the-scenes problems at the time and couldn't afford a theatrical release to fail at the box office. I'm certain it played a decisive hand in Disney trailing Don Bluth & company for most of the mid to late- 80s.

I've been wanting to go see that movie ever since I first heard about it. It looks epic.

Looks extremely beautiful. I admit that I'm not a huge fan of animated films, but I may have to see this one because it features several things I love, such as taking place in the UK and having fantasy elements.

I also find it very interesting, because Merida looks almost spitting image of one of my original characters - the only difference being that my character has purple eyes instead of light blue ones. But they seem to be polar opposites personality-wise, because my character is anything but "Brave". She is also a very obedient daughter and couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag.

I have a hard time fighting my way out of a paper bags too. I think the paper bag industry is after us!
