People dream of cars.I dream of them too(not only supercars but Rolls Royce,antique types).Dream of clothes.I have many and i dream of many more.But one thing i would love to have is a nice house,my dream house.In the nature,in the mountains.A house like many that you can find in the video game 'Oblivion'.Like the Lord's Rugdumph's.Or like many British houses and Victorian houses.The house like in 'The Haunting'(but not haunted of course).With a backyard and entrance like that.Driving an antique car getting in.Listening to the birds singing in the morning and making my tea.I would also love to have a Lambo Miura.

my 'dream' house doesn't exist, but i've always fancied one of my aunt's houses..
it's just outside canterbury, tis huge. has 3 big bedrooms and 2 guest rooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a small stable, a guesthouse type thing, a landscaped garden & a big field.. i'd wreck the place but it'd be fun for a while.

I hide best in the city; in the suburbs or the country everyone knows who you are. My urban dream house would be rather small and thus easy to take care of, but with a fine stone basement, a courtyard on which most of the rooms open and a high observation platform overlooking the street.

I like order and simplicity. I hate over-fussy design and loathe the usual idea of ornament. So, this:

I've always wanted to go and see it.

I'd be happy with just about any house that suits my needs. I'm not picky.

Honestly, I wouldn't trade where I live for any other place I've seen, and I've been in many huge mansions in Beverly Hills, and in beach houses in Malibu which sell for $25,000,000... Penthouses on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles with private elevators and all, and I wouldn't want any of that in trade for our ranch out here in Ventura County, CA. It's 25 miles as the crow flies inland from Malibu Beach, and close enough to Los Angeles that I can get anything I need, etc. As a big fan of President Reagan, I can look out our kitchen window and see his grave site on the hill across the valley, and if I go out front and climb a little hill, I can look out over the Pacific Ocean to the Channel Islands off the coast of Santa Barbara. We have no neighbors, as the nearest house is nearly a mile away, and it's a private gated road. The house is nothing exciting; a 1-story wood frame and stucco California Ranch House, but I don't want to live in a castle... Too much cleaning, and I don't want any maid messing with my stuff. We have a pool and spa, but I'd be fine if those weren't there. I have a motocross track, and my wife has her barn and horses.

Long story short, I got my dream lady, and my house at age 40

A small four-room house out in the country would be nice.

I could build a recording studio out of it.

With a window in the roof, and a big veggie patch. And room for goats.

I'd like a two-story log-cabin style house out in the woods, but just a few minutes drive from a decent sized city. It'd have a nice pool, a shed and a garden out in the back, the usual kitchen, dining room, bedroom, etc... I'd also like an entertainment room with a good-sized TV and a fast computer, as well as a room to workout in.

A castle consisting of monolithic domes. Four exterior domes on the vertices would be connected by above ground tunnels having lexan windows and occasional loopholes, along with a walkway atop the tunnel-walls. Within that exterior configuration, a main dome with subsurface levels (this complex being on a hill so as to allow for proper drainage of the subsurface levels in the event of heavy rainfall) for habitation and the above ground levels for hanging out during good weather. Also, a combination monolithic-geodesic dome with transparent kevlar reinforced lexan glass as windows for an aviary, along with a retractable titanium shield in the event of bad weather. Also, a workshop for me to build induction catapults, fast cutting lasers, trebuchets, etc along with a range nearby for me to be able to have a place to actually get to use them. Additionally, another dome within the perimeter for a museum and library.

I'd like a big house that was built in the 1960s. It has to have a swimming pool that's under cover in the back yard. I'd also like to have an orange shag carpet with white walls and orange curtains in the living room and the rec room.

The bedrooms can have green shag carpeting and green curtains. Each room would have a lava lamp.

I'd also like to own a vintage TV set from the 60s and a vintage stereo/ turntable from that same decade as well.

There would be small beaded curtains hanging from my kitchen doorways.

There would be a large Union Jack hanging up above my TV and stereo system.

I'd also have a CD player to play my CDs on.

I'd have a silver Ludwig drum set downstairs in an insulated room with another CD player.

a classic dutch houseboat is what I really want accommodation-wise.

A castle in the sky

Minimalistic, with lots of empty space, lots of straight lines and with something of a spaceship design - glass, metal, and smooth surfaces. Also, lighting is an issue, I like it lit up like an operating theater.

I would prefer it to be on the top level too. Now I live on the second floor and I do hate it.

I'd like a large library and lots of electronics as I like to tinker with gadgets.

one like what they have in the latest Spiriva commercial. A large living room just as you enter the house. Upon entering, there's a staircase and to the right, there's a den and to the left is the living room. The sofa is central in the room and is pointed toward the TV. There are chairs to the left and right of the sofa. From the seated position of the sofa, to the right is another large room which is the formal dining room and beyond that is the full chef's kitchen with island and a small table for eating everyday meals at. Off the kitchen is a stairwell leading to a large finished basement with a pool table, exercise equipment like treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and nautilus all pointing to a TV. There is also a bar. There are two doors. One's a guest bedroom and the other is the home theater with track lighting, a 60+" HDTV and surround sound. There are 4 captain's chairs.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms. One of which is my hobby room. The master bedroom has a full shower and a soaking tub.

Oh yes - how could I forget the soaking tub? Definitely a soaking tub. That's the only way for me just to rest and not sleep - just sitting sitting stil and doing nothing - though I often do read in the bathtub.

As a matter of fact I have dreamed of having a place of my own for as long as I can remember. I mean, really my own place, not shared with anyone - apart from pets, of course.
