I have this mighty fear of lotus pods. I really don't know where it stemmed from. I remember in America, they used to have dried ones in stores, and they always bugged me because I really wanted to smash them and free all the seeds.
Now I have a horrible fear of them, it seems. Just now, I google imaged them, because I was wondering if I got over it or not, and was wondering if I was just fooling myself about the phobia. I definitely didn't get over it... :? I averted my eyes and actually started crying and had to put a tshirt over the screen to click out.

Anyone got weirdness like this?

My phobias are arachnophobia, hydrophobia, and siderodromophobia (look it up). Not sure if any of those count.

I don't mean just being creeped out by something. I scream if a spider touches me. But I can look at them, or pictures of them.

I mean things that leave you feeling really messed up afterwards and during. :?

Me too, though I am no longer afraid of bees, just wasps and hornets. I have come to justify bees as being quite awesome since they make honey and I consider them more helpful than harmful now. When it comes to wasps and hornets... they scare the living crap out of me! Wasps are by far the scariest of the bunch... especially the ones that fly with their stinger kind of hanging down below their wings. Just thinking about this puts me on edge...

That's what I mean as well. I don't use the word phobia lightly.

I still keep thinking about it. :( My snake helped calm me down. But It still bugs me...

Oh, I hate those kinds of wasps! They're nasty. they creep me out less.

@Jory: My apologies. Are you afraid to simply ride trains? Or afraid to go near them? Also, do you refuse to take baths? What kind of water?

Yes, even being near trains is a f***ing awful experience. I don't even like being in a car that's several cars away from the railroad crossing when a train is passing. I would punch anyone in the throat who tried to drag me anywhere near a train, especially a moving one. As for water, I can handle showers, but I won't take baths or go swimming. Out of the question. It's just terrifying. Don't ask me why. Phobias are irrational fears, after all.

Hehe, sounds what?

It's a logical thing to do, really. My shorts are more confined so he isn't wandering where he ought not to (he likes to wrap around drinks and knock them over...). He is also keeping me cool (as it's very hot) and giving me a thigh massage at the same time. I like pythons. :)
