My sister and I had been petting a cute little kitten. Moments later we looked back and there was a truck backing up, with the kitten freshly killed in its tracks..
that is seriously bad. i have never experienced something that bad. i would be unable to cope with that i expect. it would scar my memories and mind forever.
i have 2 equal candidates for my most horrible things i have witnessed.
i suppose i will relate them in the descending order of severity that i would imagine most people would deem. i see.them as equal.

1. when i was about 10, i was walking to school and i eventually got to the traffic lights outside the school, and i pressed the button. a girl in my class was also waiting there. i became impatient and i decided to bolt across the road before the lights went red.
i realized (after i got to the other side) for some reason that the girl had decided to do the same as i did, and i turned around to see her, and a car hit her at that instant and the car was traveling at about 80kmh (50mph) and she was thrown in a low trajectory about 100 meters down the road, and when she landed she was already dead.
i heard that fatal thump and i saw it and i was very troubled by it.

2. my cat that i loved for all my life (because it was older than me (i was 14 and he was 24)) developed a urinary tract blockage (a kidney stone of sorts), and the vets refused to operate no much how much we offered.
he was a brave and beautiful boy, and he was my best friend. he got sicker and sicker, and there was a small chance that the blockage would be "blown free" with a rise in back pressure, so we let him have every chance that was available to him. he was so healthy despite his age. he went into a coma and stayed in the coma for 3 days and i sat with him and petted him and asked him to try his hardest and i told him i loved him so much and i would be lost without him.
then one evening when i was with him (and my mother was there too) he woke up and he seemed to stretch as if he had just woken from a deep sleep and me and my mother were jubilantly expectant, but he stretched and then relaxed and the glow of life in his eyes just went out as i was watching them. my god. how can you be so cruel.
