My favorite spot to vacation is probably unusual for an extreme introvert, but I love Disney World. :) Yes, it is crowded, loud, and overstimulating - all the things I hate. Yet, I love the place and can't get enough. In some ways, it's an introvert's dream. I can totally immerse myself in the attractions, atmosphere, and music. I enjoy people watching as long as I don't have to interact with anyone and Disney World is a people-watching mecca. Despite the crowds, there are plenty of quiet spots to recharge, relax and just enjoy 'being'. Somehow, when I'm down there, I feel 'normal'. I'm not sure why that is - I think it's something to do with the fact that I'm on vacation, enjoying the same things everyone else is rather than the constant feeling I have at home of always being on the outside looking in. Not sure if that makes sense. Anyway, when I am down there with my family, I feel pure happiness from the moment we arrive on property. We've made so many happy memories throughout the years and I look forward to making many more.

Anyway, my husband can't stand the place, but he is kind enough to indulge me and we go often. I can't wait until our next trip in the summer!

No offense to my fellow citizens, but I like to go where I can go two weeks without seeing another American - just to feel like I've gotten away from it all...

I'd go to Akron. Akron! Oh, yes.
There's a cottage camp just outside Akron... in a grove of maple trees.
Green, cool, beautiful. That's my favorite tree.
And I'd go there with a pretty woman. Oh.
A strange woman, a quiet woman.
Oh, under a tree. I wouldn't even want to know her name, while I would be just... Mr. Smith.
Then I would send out for cold beer.
Then I would tell her things.
Things that I've never told to anyone.
Things that are locked deep... in here.
And as I talked to her, I would want her to hold out her soft white hand and say,
"Poor thing. You poor, poor thing."
Two weeks.
It would be wonderful.

I've been to four different countries: Wales, France, Spain and Italy. Out of them I would say France. Spain is just too hot and I was poisoned by mosquitoes. We have a holiday home in France :D It's pretty much a World War 2 era house but it's away from everything and the neighbors are very nice, regardless of the language barrier.

Deserted beach in middle of nowhere. Preferably on another planet, solar system, or galaxy. As far from another human as physically possible. I would just stay up all night watching stars, and sleep all day. Would be good for my vampire skin, sun makes me sooo red and scratchy.

That isn't a bad idea.

Laguna Beach, California. It's been about 9 years since I was last there, so it has probably changed a lot, but the way I remember it was that it was filled with lots of little surf shops, and the beach itself was beautiful and relaxing.

Somewhere cold: Alaska

Somewhere warm: Freeport, Bahamas

The Bahamas is very quiet if you find the right place to stay. :)

There are several places I love to travel to. But I will select the place my family and I went this past summer that we all dearly loved---Hendersonville, North Carolina at the Smoky Mountain region. We traveled to Grandfather Mountain to the north and took a ride in the caboose on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad to our east. We did many things, but we stayed in the beautiful town of Hendersonville in a great condo. I think I could live there. I want to go back.

Me too! We went to Disney World this past April, and I loooooved it! I don't pay much attention to people at all (I am an extreme introvert, but I don't have social anxiety), so it wasn't a huge deal for me. I wasn't too fond of the lineups, but then no one probably is, autisitic or NT. I loved the rides too! I am a bit of a coward when it comes to rides, so I am nervous to go on a lot of them (the biggest ones I did were Splash Mountain, Soarin', and the Epcot Ball--which I know is not fast, but that is one STEEEEEP descent back the bottom!) The most autistic-unfriendly ride I did was Dinosaur. It wasn't the ride itself, but all the crazy noise and lights were a lot for my sensory issues. I would go back to Disney right away if I could afford to! Loved it so much!

I also love Alaska (I am also a nature and environment lover---and I love mountains, solitude, low population densities, and winter/snow). Would love to return to Alaska someday soon! And another favourite is Tennessee where my only friend lives. I love it there too, and I AM going there in less than a year (next May!)

Big Sur and Monterrey, California. Big Sur gives you scenic beaches, lush redwood forests, and Monterrey gives you the best aquarium that I know of. The atmosphere of the restaurants and shops there is also an attraction.

Never been to Disneyworld, but Disneyland is one of my favorite places in the whole universe. Space mountain, awesomeness. Hmmmm that would be favorite vacation destination number two. :D
