Hello.

I am female, but am more hairy than women usually. I have few dark hair on my breasts, also have white but more hair up on my stomach. My chin has slight longer hair also, and there is one long black hair stuck in my neck somewhere. . It is all noticeable when people would look close. My doctor said it's nothing serious, that some people just are that way. Blood tests were fine.

I am actually excited and i find it interesting to have more hair than women usually do(I am weird lol). But can i trust my very helpful and friendly family doctor(best in our town)? Might i have some serious life threatening decease??

You don't seem to be any hairier than would be considered normal.

My sister makes fun of me because of my such hair so i feel like it is not normal. Or perhaps many are like that but they feel embarassed and shave themselves.

I'm hirsute and have been since I was a teenager. I have more hair on my body than most men and it's dark. I've had my hormones checked and they're fine. PCOS was the doc's main concern as I also have weird periods, but that was ruled out. I've been told it's just normal for me, just extreme for a Scots woman. Apparently I'd fit in better in Iran (that's goes for my head hair too).

I paid a small fortune for IPL on my face and forearms. My arm hair is quite good now and not at all embarrassing. But, my facial hair, especially on my chin, has come back as bad as ever. So, I bought a home laser machine and I'm working on it just now. It works well on my colouring as there's good contrast between my skin and hair colour, but it would be better if my skin was fair. It's much cheaper than going back for more sessions too, which I'd probably need indefinitely. Only thing is, in between treatments, I need to shave, can't bleach or pluck.

I have a hair problem too, which began around puberty. I have it dark everywhere though. The endocrinologist thought I might have CAH, and I did have excess testosterone, but I never went back. At first I was very distressed by my problems, but now I don't care... I don't even bother removing hair anymore. I feel like, if people have a problem with something that is naturally occurring in me, then don't talk to me. I really don't care. I had a boyfriend last year who had no problem with it at all.
