Don't know about you guys, but i am having a much better day today than normal....

Just wondered what music you guys listen to to cure your aspie blues?

I love Greg Laswell, Groove Armada, Kasabian, Muse, Radiohead,

Recently i started listening to love songs, my top 3 are - Barbara Streisand -A woman in love, Foreigner - I wanna know what love is and also Bruce Springsteen - Secret Garden.

Let me know

Hi Richard!
An extremely difficult question. -Anything that sounds good to my ears.-
Right now Im listening to trance, but not to cure any blues. Just to enjoy the music.

I used to love Oakenfold, my taste has mellowed though so now i listen to house, but not the commercial dance crap in the charts, more things like Need To Feel Loved by Adam K & Soha or Deadmau5 I Rememeber.

Anyone know "Argyle" by the Bouncing Souls? The lyrics are very reminiscent of Asperger's in my opinion, although I don't think anyone in the band has it.

Ex: "It seems everybody knows but me/ How to go, what to do, and where to be/ Everywhere I go they all talk the same/ They don't even have to try/ They make me feel so lame."

I'm not diagnosed btw. I'm trying to use these forums to explore.

So glad i got diagnosed, i can have closure and an explanation and deal with the problem now i know i have it. Obviously i dont wish anyone to have AS (although their are so many benefits) but if you do get diagnosed with it then i wish you all the best with your journey.

As for the song, it's quite punky, not bad. Good lyrics too.

Usually when I'm feeling down I'll listen to Thursday or Combichrist.

Personally, I like my music on the heavier side. Metal is my favorite genre. I can really lose myself in a good beat. No screamo stuff, though. Too harsh. I found an interesting sub-genre that I like: Symphonic Metal. It combines the heavy beats of metal with almost opera-like singing. Go look up Nightwish if you want to check that out. Currently, my favorite new song is the theme from Skyrim. Go check that out, too.

Sort of. Thursday is more post-hardcore, while Combichrist is kinda Industrial. Both are Screamo.

I usually listen to eurodance, eurobeat, and Japanese pop, and listen to them especially a lot if I feel sad. I've gotten into jazz fusion a bit lately, too, Toshiki Kadomatsu and Shakatak is about it for that. Uh, I like some poprock like Gin Blossoms and other 90s stuff, too. Gin Blossoms is pretty much the only relatable band in the sorta emo pop rock thing. It's like emo music for adults. I'm beginning to like Russian pop, too, maybe a bit of Spanish salsa/etc kinda music, but those'll both have to grow in time. The ratio of my music is probably 40% English, 40% Japanese, and the rest other languages.

But yeah, I like pop music quite a bit, just not American radio played (at least played on the radio now) pop music. I mean, it's pretty uncool to like pop music like that, but I love pop music. It's probably something to do with my NVLD and my lack of emotional maturity. I like some "complex" music, too, actually some very complex and obscure stuff (that people on this board don't seem to terribly like) but most of the time, I like my simple pop music.
