What did you see when you first saw my avatar?

I'm surprised people on here keep asking me what it is. If you thought it was something other than any of the options listed, then please state. AND, whichever option you choose - state if you're a man or a woman. This is important.

It's a chocolate cake. And I'm a dude.

I wasn't sure exactly what it was instantly but after a second or so I realised it was chocolate cake. I am woman.

Also I don't like chocolate cake if that's where this experiment is heading

If I told you, my experiment might fail.

I had a really hard time making sense of that image. At first it looked like scene out if a sci-fi movie involving Wolverine. That is, it looked kind if like a burnt-up arm with the metal Wolverine-claws claws coming out of it. But that seemed weird so I kept trying to figure it out and eventually realized it was cake and a fork.

I am Male, BTW.

In order, my thoughts went:

1) "Curious thread title, wonder what that could be... trolling with something unpleasant? No, it's smudge, so I'll take a look."
2) "Big dark blob. Turd? ...that's not on poll options. Cake?"
3) "Big dark blob, having to squint, what is that thing? Oh, Wolverine claws! ...nah."
4) "Big dark blob, suppose cake it is." *reads posts* "Ah, presumably the OP has been told it looks like a turd and is trying to check that in an unbiased way..."

Chocolate cake and I could be either gender.

I was going to put that...maybe I should add it as an option. But then, I wouldn't see what sex the person was.

Either chocolate cake or black pudding. I suspected it was chocolate cake.

And why on Earth would you have a large glob of mud on a fork?!

I thought it was chocolate pudding at first, but quickly realized that it was cake.

Because when I first saw your avatar I assumed it was Kiefer Sutherland.

I'm male by the way, and I chose the chocolate cake option in the poll.

I thought it was poo. lol sorry.

I used to think your old one looked like Laz in a devil costume ha ha.

That's definitely cake. It doesn't look anything like any kind of feces.

I honestly at first thought it was some type of animal (beaver, otter, very large rat) with enormous protruding teeth.
