So, I'm thinking of trying to get something together for Autism awareness month at CMU. Last year a class just showed the Rain Man and while I believe it was well intended, that movie kind of shows a tiny picture of what Autism really is. I'd like to get people that have Autism/Aspergers syndrome to speak about what it is to them. How having Autism affects their social interactions, their daily functions, how they think. I think this could be an effective tool for raising awareness about what Autism really is and hopefully it may take away some of the stigma from Autism. If you'd like to participate let me know. My email is mcpikj@gmail.com. I will check this board as well, it's just that I have a smartphone so I'm on my email more.

Alex Plank has produced a couple of films on aspergers; Autism Reality and Diagnosis Different. There's the feature film; If You Could Say It in Words.
