Okay this may seem weird, but I frequently chew the collar of my shirt and the edges of my blanket out of habbit. Once the texture of the collar/blanket has dried up I enjoy rubbing my fingers on the ruff surface

I explained it strangely and now I sound like an idiot

anyway, is this sort of like stimming and do you know any aspies or auties who do something like this?

I know someone who I think could have AS who chews on his scarf sometimes, and he always wears his scarf.
And then I know someone who picks on his fingers very often but I don't think he's got AS.

Not sure what it is though. But with the first I think that could be stimming, with the second I think this could be something compulsive but in your case you rub your fingers which is different altogether.
