ThunderCats any good?

I just bought a Cheetara action figure today, but I haven't watched much of the show. i saw a littile of it one day. but my tv don't work so I saw it on my dads tv, when he was watching it.

I know of both the old series and the newer series. the episode I saw looked pretty good. even though I didn't see the whole episode.
just curious who has opinions on the show? both the newer one and the old one?

I've seen a couple of episodes of the newer one. It was pretty good. I don't have an opinion of the older one since I've never seen it.

I used to watch the old-school Thundercats, but the new 2011 series is absolutely amazing. Out go the camp outfits and 80's kitsch, and in comes the following....

Characterisation - Panthro being a hard-arse veteran with a better outfit, the Thunderkittens as a pair of wide-eyed street urchins, Cheetara as a cleric and Tygra and Lion-O as brothers.

The setting - Feels more like an epic LOTR movie than a modern Saturday cartoon.
