I sometimes suffer from depression. Sometimes I don't know if I'm worth anything. Tonight I came to this conclusion:

The influence of every individual life is always relevant in the network of time. If any one of them were to be removed, everything would be different. You are necessary for the web's stability. The entire shape of the universe could change in every way, if your individual presence were to be removed. Every individual connection helps to perfectly balance the whole web. Ye must trust in this. Everyone is necessary.

I hope this makes sense to someone else and brightens their day.

With my weight problem, I am balancing two other people on the network. :D

Indeed, one person being removed from the universe could alter it entirely. Perhaps if I were removed, the entire universe would shift in such a way that it would bring about world peace and end all illness. Alas! If only I could do away with myself and bring about world peace! :P
(I hope that is taken as the delightful sardonic joke it was meant to be and also brightens someones day. If not, just think I am a jerk and curse at me- I hear it helps.)

To be serious, yes, every person makes up a part of the universe we live in and hopefully appreciate.

To be able to see that through the veil of depression requires a kind of mental paradigm shift... have you been smoking weed? ;-) (It could give such insights.)

I have clinical depression and one thing that helps me when I'm very depressed is to keep reminding myself that even though what I'm feeling feels like it's real, it's not. It's false thinking and false ideas brought on by a chemical imbalance. It sounds simplistic and it might be to some people, but to me, when I'm so depressed that I just wish I could die, being able to know for a fact and reassure myself that while I may think I feel this way, in actuality I don't. That's what helped me not go through with suicide the time a doctor insisted that I try her choice of antidepressant for me, after I had already told her what I had taken before that worked.
