Every time I click on that link, I get either "no posts fit your criteria", or a list of posts since I logged in this time... not since I logged off last time, which is what would be useful to me. Am I doing something wrong? Or does the same happen to everyone else?

I've never had that happen.

Well I have, and I told you about it a month ago!

It's still happening.....

I've been away from WP for 5 days, yet apparently no new messages have been posted since last time I was here. :x

What steps do I need to take to reproduce your problem? I can't fix a problem I can't replicate when it apparently only affects 3 people.

I dunno - I'm not an IT teccie (though I'd imagine there are quite a few on WP).

I am annoyed because it seriously affects my use of the site - I have to trawl through all of the subject areas in order to find the new Topics and this takes ages - and you seem to be denying that this problem had ever been raised before when I know that it has.

It works fine, AS LONG as you are having WP remember your login, gives me the feeling it's doing a cookie check. If cookies aren't enabled, is seems broken, at least on my test machine, at school, so I don't have my normal setup here atm.

not all the functions of WP will work if you have cookies disabled. i am not denying the problem, but there isnt a good way to make it work if you disable cookies. i'm sorry you're having the problem. What browser are you using?

Umm, actually there is a good way to do it, check for an active session with that client, same way the rest of the forum works if you don't have cookies.

I have cookies enabled, I think, although I foolishly agreed to use the new MS Internet Explorer layout and now I can't find anything.

The problem occurred before this change, btw.

I remember Alex suggested clearing my Cookies and starting again. At first I thought it had worked but it turned out that a number of posts had been made while I was tinkering with my settings. Nothing from before that session had actually appeared.

if you have IE7 (internet explorer 7), click ALT to show the "old" menu (file etc)

When did you first start experiencing the problem?

A month or so ago, when the server was upgraded (I think). There had been a lot of problems with the speed of the site and people "crashing out" all of the time, and then there were a couple of days while things were improved when it was hard to access the forums, and then everything started working properly again except this particular function.

Sometimes, if there are a lot of pages to the list, it will reset, and clicking on next page won't work any more. Or, perhaps, when I click on another tab (Safari)
