I'm not sure as to whether or not this Avatar is a good idea or not. I'm guessing it's because it's a touchy subject, that of being banned. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt anyone will have a problem with it.

I'm just asking for opinions, that's all.

Note: I have no idea how to apply that transparent effect on pictures, could somebody help me out here? I don't want to use the same effect my current Avatar does with the two-tone background.

There's an option for it in Photoshop. It's easy to find.

In gimp http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html

You go into layers then transparency, then add an alpha channel(transparent layer) then select color to alpha it should generate a checker board in the transparent
region , click okay (or whateever) and it generates the full image. Save as a gif, tell it to export it and then it should work. The background needs to be all the same color for the software to find it. Usually its all white.

Well, it was just an idea I had. No real reason behind it except for a little chuckle. If it's bad then I won't use it, of course. And if it seems out of my personality the [i]of course[i/] I won't use it.

Just as a note, I'm not trying to get banned myself. Really, it'd totally suck if I was (I was banned from GameFAQs due to a censor by-pass mishap, so I know the feeling of loss already).

seems like it'd give some people the wrong idea though.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking at the time. I mean, it does have a little humour too it, but it doesn't leave a good impression. I'd rather keep to my current one. Thanks for the info.

I have some other, more appropriate Avatar ideas anyway. I'll make a poll in the Random Discussion sometime soon.

For some reason, I find the avatar amusing but then again, I just woke up.

I'd actually been wondering how to do that in gimp. Thanks :D
