If (god forbid) someone logged on to my User and started trolling + flaming, would you ban my user or their IP Address? A Curious question to ask.

More likely just your username, and the e-mail account that was used to open the account on the forum.

The problem with IPs, they change, I can change mine once a minute if I want. You start banning IPs, they keep changing around, and eventually a legitmiate user will signon with the banned ip, and then the user will get banned, etc.
