I recently bought and installed the new Windows 8

I am delighted with its stability, even a new user interface I liked, but only at first, then become a little annoying.

I would like to know what is your opinion about the new PDF reader.

I have not installed the Adobe Reader, Do is better than Windows PDF reader?

I'd originally written that the built-in PDF reader doesn't print. It does. I wasn't aware of this "charm bar" business. When you open a PDF file, you have to activate the charm bar to the right, select your installed printer and print to your heart's content. Zooming in and out is easy using Ctrl + or - or pinching the screen if you have a touch screen. (I just learned about the Ctrl + bit today, too.

How do I make it work in a window? I can't use it regardless of how well it displays PDFs if it won't run windowed.

If the new native PDF viewer is less resource heavy than the last several iterations from Adobe, use it and be glad.

Well, I would suggest PDF Reader for Windows 8 at http://www.pdfeight.com/reader.html

It's slim and free if you don't feel like Adobe Reader or the inbox Microsoft Windows Reader.

I on the other hand use Sumatra PDF viewer because its incredibly lightweight and even more slim. I haven't used Adobe anything since the logo changed. :B Except flash, but even that I don't have technically installed due to Chrome.

I've always been fond of the light, fast Foxit PDF reader. I'd use the internal MS one though... the less external software, the better. MS usually makes decent (if not awesome) stuff.

how about okular (assuming you use linux) i love that program it is fast and if you have a lot of ram you can make it aggressively load pages
