I love card games. I'm starting to play bridge, though I'm admittedly terrible at it so far. Love poker and gin rummy as well. Played a little euchre every now and then, and some blackjack. My college used to have a casino night every year, and as a card counter, I'd make a killing at the blackjack tables and leave with a prize every time. Unfortunately, I'm not exactly transparent about it, so I'd get spotted and blacklisted quickly at a real casino.

What else do you folks enjoy?

Sequence and backyard bridge. I used to play solitaire a lot, then I quit when I got my first palm pilot. I've been distracting myself with handheld gadgets ever since. For social games I still play sequence and backyard bridge though, with family. We made our own sequence board so we could arrange the cards on the board in a way that makes it easier to navigate, unlike the random migraine mess that Milton Bradley produces. I mean, the cards already add the randomness, what's the point of adding the "Where's Waldo?" element?

Poker.

5-card or 7-card.

Draw or stud.

Nothing wild.

I used to play poker with my dad for Halloween candy. He taught me how to play Remy.

This is probably irrelevent, but I enjoy the hell out of Magic: the Gathering and Apples to Apples. I'd like to try out Cards Against Humanity one of these times as well.

Texas Holdem - I like to both play and watch, watching any videos (High Stakes Poker, for example) that I could feast my eyes upon, as well as the tournaments. This also feeds nicely into my interest in psychology.

Online Video Poker. Free, not for money.

Hanafuda (Koi Koi) - A seriously fun card game. I first learnt of its existence in a game called Yakuza, and went and ordered me a real set of these cards. You can aslo play this online for free.

3 and 4 - This probably has an official name. To discribe this game simply, you're just taking turns picking off piles until someone gets 3 of something and 4 of something, 3 Qs and 4 2s, for example. Fun card game.

Solitaire, on my PC - I find this very addictive. It became a ritual of sorts to play this before bed every night at one point, and I'd make up stupid rules such as having to win a game before I could sleep. I've recovered and can just play this casually now without all that stuff.

Scabby Queen - Usually the queen of hearts. All cards are dealt out and each person discards all their pairs, leaving them with lone cards in which to play with. Your job is to avoid picking and being left holding the scabby queen.

I've played and enjoyed Gin Rummy, Blackjack and even Hearts, although I found Hearts somewhat confusing. I've played other card games but unsure of their names.

I repeat the love for Cards Against Humanity. I helped organize a tourney for the overnight shift at my second job. Everyone loves it.

I just did a search for Cards Against Humanity, and realise I have actually played this before, but forgot the name. I did find it rather amusing.

According to the website, it is "A free party game for horrible people."

worth noting, the CAH people have put out a small holiday booster card set. It's 30 cards and they've set up a "pay what you wish" thing. They ask for $5. $3 covers their expenses, but given the fun I've had playing, it was well worth $10 to me.
