Is is that you like 30 and 10 because they are nice 'complete' numbers? Yes, I can dig that :) When I was a kid I had a thing about even numbers, odd numbers made me uncomfortable. I could never understand why clocks had 12 numbers, even though 12 is even, I always thought there should have been ten because ten is more, well, just feels right . :)

I have to agree... 10 is a much better choice. Plus with the metric system having a base of 10 it just makes sense. But there's the world for you.

Interesting! I used to try to make EXACT estimates and percentages. So I would say something like It should take 12 minutes! But when it came to certain things, I DID want even numbers. If I ever tried to conciously add 10+ posts a day I would want to shoot myself. I typically add LESS, but it is STILL too much. What IS IT with this that addicts me so?

very interesting . . .

the icosahedron (one of the platonic solids) has 12 vertices.

10 is half the number of faces and 30 is half the number of symetries.
