So, who here on WP.net is an ice hockey fan?

I am! I love the Vancouver Canucks and Los Angeles Kings; and I love how exciting games can be! So fast paced, exciting and thrilling......... what more could anyone ask for?

The Canucks and Kings are off to a slow start......... darned lockout. But things will pick up for them, I hope! :D

Hockey fan here, Dallas Stars fan to be more precise. * still a little miffed about the lockout though * :x
So far the Stars seem to be doing fine, and it's nice seeing Jagr playing for the Stars. After we lost Otter I wasn't sure about our future, and Jamie Benn got his contract dispute settled which is nice. :) After Steve Ott, Benn was probably our second best player on the team.
I've to say the team that concerns me the most is Minny. With the new additions of Sutter, Parise, along all of that other talent. It's a scary sight to see. 8O

I saw part of the kings canucks games that went into overtime. It seemed to be good but had to go to bed before it was over. Although I am not sure Equestria to LA could watch it with Bob miller on the broadcast.

Not sure? I think Bob Miller is the most amazing hockey announcer out there! :D

Dallas is not doing great this season. Three straight losses, with a big loss to Detroit at the Joe.

Something tells me I could add myself to the 'Hockey Fan' list lol. As an Oilers fan I have almost given up on the NHL but I've spent almost every weekend at a local rink. Yes, I was that 20 something loner guy all by himself along with all the older men.

Anyone know where the old hockey thread went?
As for my 2 cents. I'm not counting this season as much more than a glorified pre-season. My boys aren't doing very well, but I figure this season gives them a chance to get things together for next year.

I think it's a few pages down from this thread.

Also, Dallas stopped their losing streak against Phoenix barely in a shootout. :)

I think ice hockey has become a bit of an obsession for me, I love the traditions and the fights are crazy. I've been over to u.s 4 times in the last 3 years. I am a new jersey devils fan but have also been to the islanders once and the rangers several times' also I went to buffalo sabres home opener last season.I'm going back in a few weeks time to watch the devils twice at prudential centre and whilst i'm in nyc gonna go to the colliseum to see islanders v capitals and then get ripped off at the msg to see rangers sennators  . Plus I pay extra to subscribe to a sports channel here in the u.k to get nhl games .Yep as someone said to me recently i need my brains examined.Let's go devils.

I don't about you guys, but I don't see Dallas getting into the playoffs... again. :(
I don't really know who else to root for either.
