The Rack (currently off-site)
So far, I have 4x BOXX Servers running Dual Xeon 2.4GHz processors and 5GB of memory. Two of them have 4x 2GB drives and the other two have 4x 1.5GB drives configured as a hardware RAID5.
I also added 5x Sun SunFire v100's to the rack running FreeBSD 9.1. They have dual 120GB HDDs and a gig of memory.
After that, I have a Compaq Proliant DL360 wuth 2x74GB HDDs and 2GB of memory as a Cacti Monitoring Server.
I have 2x PowerEdge 2450's modified to take 4x WD Green 640GB SATA Drives.
Then I have 2x PowerEdge 6350's with 4x 73GB HDDs. One has 4GB, and the other has 8GB of memory.
Eventually, when I can, I'll consolidate the BOXX and the PowerEdge 2450 servers into a single chassis.
At Home
I have a Compaq Proliant ML370 handling my home network. It has dual P3@1GHz processors and 2GB of memory and it's running Gentoo Linux. It has 6x18GB HDDs as a RAID5 and 4x 1.5TB USB Drives as a softRAID5 via Linux. This little box handles everything without issues. I have a small Asante switch that handles the wired connections and 3x TRENDnet 11n AP's that handle the wireless ones.
Anyone else? I am thinking of getting a Cisco WS-C2948G-GE-TX to replace the two switches I currently have. That, and (maybe) purchase a Cisco 3845 (or a 3825) so I can handle routing from multiple sources along with updating my Cisco knowledge to get my physical certs. The rack will be relocated to the basement when we actually have a house instead of an apartment.
Yes, this is my home network. I'll post my desktop and laptop pictures later on.
