Feeling like crying when i am in town or around people.
I have had the same problem for all my life and almost every time i have to go into town either walking or getting a ride into town
i always end up feeling that i would want to be somewhere else just to cry alone like back home.
Some days the anxiety gets to me and that i choose not to go into town for things i need like food etc.
Aspie related?
Like i said i have had this problem since the first day of kindergarten onwards so does anyone relate?
I have seen videos on Youtube of people describing the same problem of feeling like you just cant be around people and is usually caused by overloads which i have
been geting alot of lately.

Yeah, I do. It might be part of the anxiety from having such great social difficulty, and the overstimulation of paying attention to conversation. When I'm out and about town not so much. When I was on medication this wasn't a problem, but since I went off three years ago, I can relate. Wish I had advice for you.
I get the same thing when I go into town. I generally feel claustrophobic around large crowds. I deal with it by only staying in town as long as I feel ok with it, generally around two hours. I plan what I'm going to do in town, so I know what I need to do and where to go and can do it quickly and efficiently. If I start to feel overwhelmed then I will either go to one of my favourite cafes to calm down, or I will go home. I find that listening to my iPod while I'm walking around helps me to keep calm and happy. I can spend all day in town if I'm with friends, I generally just find it hard when I'm on my own.
I can barely stay in areas with people or loud noises for an hour before i feel panicing is the only option so i go back home like you said being alone is the hardest
because when i get overwelmed in town or other places i have no sence of direction to go back home and that is the worst situation being in also i listen to my mp3 also.I think it's aspie related so basically high sensory input being the cause for it.

It's interesting you put this up because I have felt like this often but i just haven't been able to verbalize it well. I am sorry you feel like that, it must be awful. Just stay at home then and talk to us on the forum
I live in London and so to get to any destination it means traveling on the tube, which I don't like because your in such close proximity to people but whenever I get back from London after spending 5-6 hours there I just want to get back to my apartment and cry. People seem miserable in the city, disillusioned with their lives or people are annoyingly confident and it makes me feel like I am lacking something in my life. Or I am surrounded by people discussing tediously banal things, such as the shoes they bought recently and it makes me realize how regardless of the thousands of people living in such a highly populated city, I am truly alone. It becomes like a form of sensory overload and I just want to go home and cry like you say. I don't really know why. Obviously for the reasons I just gave but there is just something mysteriously upsetting about being with people. Anyway, it seems like an aspie thing and I hope you feel better. Just try and relax. i know that is easier said than done but it's important to try and cleanse your mind. To help me when I am around people, I have tried to fabricate a world in my head that I can go to so I don't have to exist in the reality around me. So I have fabricated a solipsistic world in my head of moons and stars, interstellar spirals, people riding massive snails with their heads as solar panels so the sun can power their minds and everyone exchanging facts and so forth, kind of like a children's programme in my mind. I know that sounds really odd and creepy like I should be locked away possibly
but going into an imaginative world like that every now and then helps me escape reality when it becomes to much of a burden. Good luck.
Actually, that sounds cool.
I agree, although its very hard explaining that to NT's most of the time or even people who help me with things.
