I find these so disconcerting and disorienting that I'm not going to be able or read or post here (as much as I would like to) unless they go away. They're showing up in Tim Tex's signature for god's sake!

I belong to another board that allows for different levels of membership, ranging from $0-$50 a year. Various privileges and perks are included in the different membership packages, including things like a different colored name, the ability to change your name, a physical newsletter mailed via snailmail.... etc.. Perhaps there could even be a forum accessible only to paying members...???

It just seems like anything would be better than turning people's POSTS into ads.

Thanks, phew.

I really think that optional paid memberships would be a good fundraising idea, if it came with a few perks. I would buy one.
